"Oh, cool. What does learning that involve?" 

Alex passes him a pastry while he asks this, also paying close attention to the conversation.

"A mental action as easy to describe as describing what it feels like to tell your arm to move."

"Temple mentioned he was teaching the basics of acquiring gifts? More of that, you will first learn how to transfer Breath, then learning Stamina is sort of easy."

"Oh! Yeah," he nods, "We can do more of that later, then," he decides, glancing over at Alex, who nods as well. "Does already having a gift help at all?" 

(Nomnom pastry)

"Oh, right. It does, not sure how much? But at least you should be used to having the sensation of spending lifeforce. That helps a lot."

He takes a pastry and hoovers with his legs in a lotus position.

Him being in a towel, this has a result.

"We all full-brothers here!" Adam blurts out.

"We're not!" Jamie corrects him brightly. 

"That's good," he adds, "I definitely know what it feels like to spend my health, though I don't use my breath gift much." 

("So it'd be okay if you were half-brothers?" Alex murmurs, amused.)

"I meant the room."

"He means that the three of us share the same biological mom. He was just being weird."

"What's your breath gift again?"

("Why being half-brothers would make it okay?")

("It sounded like you were objecting to being full-brothers specifically." He shakes his head, "I was joking," he adds.) 

"I call it whispering. It lets me talk to anyone in sight without anyone else hearing it." 

"Cool. That sounds helpful. I am sure Temple will figure out something."

"Uh," he's hesitant, "Sure, I guess..." 

Alex leans against him, "Pushing," he notes. 

"It's fine, I should get used to it, anyway." 

Aaron walks. "Hey, the food is finally served." He gives Franklyn a casual slap in the ass and reaches for the food.

"Go wash that hand."

"Fine."

(Alex observes this with a raised eyebrow but says nothing.)

Jamie pauses with the pastry half-way to his mouth, "...I think the food's been unavoidably tainted at this point," he points out, waving his own free hand. "If 'recently touched Franklyn's butt' does it. Should have washed our hands, too," he admits, sheepish. 

"The pool has wards to keep the water pure. And I trust Franklyn's butt more than Aaron's hand."
