Meanwhile, Franklyn and James are showing off flight maneuvers to each other.

He is having the time of his life.

This kind of flying is new, but it's not hard to get the hang of, unlike his own style! (There were a lot of bruises involved in his first attempts to do more than float with it.)

He spirals up into the air, laughing, and then darts over to Franklyn, grinning brightly, "This is great!" Hug? Mildly tackle-ish hug? 

Mildly tackle-ish maybe. Very Hug. Franklyn cackles and puts his arms and legs around the smaller boy as they spiral out through the air.

Much hug!! He laughs, squeezing Franklyn around the middle, trusting him to control their spiral. 

He does. And they are getting closer to the house. "Want to play in water while your flight is still on? You can swim in your underwear, if you'd like."

"Oh, does the flight make swimming different, I bet it does! Sure!" Where's the pool?

The pool is next to the house. There is a wall around it, forming something that one might compare to a "G" shape, except with a section of the semi-circle being the wall of the house, making it straight. The inner leg of the "G" goes into the pool, forming an arc over the water. He is directing their flight towards the deck. "That smaller area over there, was meant to skinny dip in privacy, but we no longer have that restriction. You can swim nude or in your underwear if you want." Hug.

Continued hug. "Ok," they will have to unhug to get undressed for swimming, which is too bad. He'll do it, though, pulling away from Franklyn to strip down. Down to nothing, that is. Why leave his underwear on to get soaked when he'll have to put his jeans on overtop them afterwards?

(The removal of his clothes really does show off how unhealthily skinny he is. It's not a truly dangerous level, yet, but he definitely looks... a little frail.)

Franklyn looks mildly concerned, but does not comment, except. "We have some heated showers over there. If you don't want the thermal shock." He takes the clothes and piles them up in a piece of poolside furniture.

The removal of his clothes show that the family has really unfair genes. So unfair.

So unfair. He stares a bit, as he'd said he would, and then his eyes dart away with a slight blush.

"Might as well," he shrugs, taking the opportunity to distract himself. He floats over to the showers and stands under the spray for a bit, slowly lowering the temperature, before going back to the pool. 

Franklyn giggles at the staring, but does not seen to mind. With some gratuitous use of flight he showers himself and then kicks the wall and dives into the pool.

He hovers just out of the pool for a moment, setting his feet on the surface so it looks like he's standing on the water. He takes a few 'steps', grinning, and then he slips down into the pool. 

He can actually do a lot more with his gift in the water than in the air - people already float in water, after all, so he doesn't have to do that part himself. Still, the difference between making the water propel him and propelling himself through the water is pretty interesting! He bets he could do some pretty cool water effects and flips if he used both! It's tempting to try it out, but he refrains, for now. 

There are plenty of ways to play with water when you can also fly. Franklyn demonstrates.

Oo, Jamie will copy him, and then try some variations on the theme! He probably spends more time floating above the water than in it, though. 

That's okay. Franklyn will mirror his above water maneuvers with underwater ones. He can hold his breath for quite a while.

Remarkably so.

Can he? That's interesting. Jamie has a pretty decent lung capacity himself, between swimming - he can carry air with him underwater, but the longer he can stretch it the better - and singing, though it's not as good as it once was. Maybe they should compare? 

They definitely should compare! How?

Hmm... They could. Both stay under water and see how long before they have to go up to take a breath? They will have to float very close together, though, of course, to make sure neither is cheating somehow! Not that Jamie thinks Franklyn would cheat, but just in case, right?

Maybe they could hold each other while doing this? Like in a hug?

Oh, what a good idea! 

..There's other ways to check lung capacity, too. Ones that are much more comfortable and pleasant than holding your breath underwater. All it takes is keeping their mouths occupied. Would Franklyn like to try that instead? 

Giggle. Franklyn would like to be kissed very much.

That's excellent, because Jamie would like to kiss him! He does that! 

Franklyn giggles into the kiss, but then starts reciprocating. His hands go exploring James back.

Franklyn is cute and good. Jamie hums happily against his lips, threading his fingers into his hair and pressing close. 

The texture of the skin on his back is uneven - the scars are well-healed, and aren't very obvious to the eye, but they can be felt just fine. Jamie gives no indication that he minds Franklyn touching his back - he's practically purring, actually.
