They apologize for the inconvenience.

They have the following plot outline more or less agreed upon: the terraforming is underway and people of both species can go out of the arcologies for short periods now but there are frequent major natural disasters expected to calm down when there are more trees as windbreaks and they've rearranged the waterways in some way to be determined on consultation with appropriate science greens. The Draak presence on the planet is for ecological consultation, magic, moving heavy objects, and the general spirit of cooperation; in response to Meksi's relayed remarks they are planning to lean on a theme of the planet as an egg the Draak and Amentan species are producing together that will hatch into a beautiful colony. Sunwind's character is injured and his costar is sneaking out to plant a species he doesn't have formal authorization for but knows for insert-science-reasons-here will be important to the ecology later, when a windstorm shows up; because the former is slowed down and the latter is not where he's supposed to be they can't evacuate in time and the evac shuttle can't wait for them. They take shelter in a cave and have to survive on the planet together until everyone else comes back; they must hack into an arcology for supplies for the Amentan's suit and food for both of them, and in so doing they discover a problem! They must repair a damaged insert-engineering-thingamabob-here that can't wait for the main party's return lest insert-terraforming-here go wrong. When everyone comes home, they are greeted as heroes! Montage of post-terraforming planet a few years along being settled. They can have Sunwind put a prop egg somewhere and the Amentan character walk around with a kid sitting on his shoulders on their new home.

Oh, wow. All this is pretty cool indeed. He has a bunch of comments and will kind of start at the top.

Some Draak could totally be guards and scouts, flying Amentans places and checking on things. And he's pretty sure the starships need magic to go and has no idea if that might change. Is the planet supposed to be mostly for Amentans or mostly for Draak or kind of both?

His character should have been injured doing something appropriately heroic. Or maybe stupid (like flying in a severe storm) so he can learn from it, not something ordinary and boring like a construction accident.

He thought there were going to be other aliens involved somehow? That he would fight? Is that being replaced by lots of acrobatics and climbing and flying type things, those are cool too.

...A prop egg is going to be kind of creepy, he will totally be able to see that it's not actually alive. If the goal is to make Amentans go 'aww' and think his character made out well the egg works probably, they would know, but if the goal is to make Draak think he made out well, roaring and then leisurely flying over a lush landscape on the new planet that was supposed to become his would be good too.

They're planning on the planet being both, with cities and farms but also greenway; they're going to animate a bunch of background Sapphire Draak because those would be easiest to split up a planet with but Ruby's not bad either since they can mostly hang out deep underground.

They'd been thinking maybe he got injured trying to escape from the storm, but he can have gone into it stupidly. Maybe to retrieve a shiny object?

They're still considering working in aliens but it wound up being tricky to work that in with all the other stuff, and it's in tension with the theme of Cooperating With Aliens. They might put in a hook for aliens in the sequel.

Presumably if Draak watch the movie they will not know it's a prop from the video alone? He has correctly divined the purpose, anyway, but they can also do a shot where he roars and flies over the landscape, that seems like a great capstone.

Learning not to chase shinies all the way to your doom is a common Draak aesop. If it works in the story it might be neat.

The Emeralds and Onyx will probably be annoyed if their relative ratio gets reduced. If not nearly as furious as like oranges or someone facing a sharp cut in credits. They can get the equator, right?

No, other Draak won't be able to automatically tell from a video. It'll just be kind of uncanny for him.

Yes, they can have there be Emeralds and Onyx at the equator. And the poles too if they want.

Sometimes actors have to pretend that very stupid looking assemblies of foam or whatever are their costars because they're playing opposite CG effects; it's part of the territory.

Poles are harder because there's less things living there, but some would live there.

I will find a foam egg or whatever else a bit hard to take very seriously, though acting like it's real is not quite Lying. I'll try, anyway.

If the scene doesn't come out well they'll cut it or just have a shot of the egg without him interacting with it.

Sure. Meanwhile he has all sorts of ideas for cool stunts he could do in the course of the story but patiently sits on them until a good time to mention comes up instead of constantly interrupting.

Uh, by the way, he can't actually provide samples of Draak writing, if they were going to want that for verisimilitude. He only knows how to write his name and the characters for 'Draak' and 'treasure'.

Oh, okay, they'll have to get bits from the samples on the Internet or something, but they weren't planning on that featuring very heavily.

At this point he just listens and waits to see if they want him to do anything too un-Draak-like.

Doesn't sound like it!

At the conference with Tapa, between diplomats getting to know each other and scientists talking to each other about this or that, one of merely horse-sized young adults has been working on his Tapap and decides it's good enough for now.

He hauls out a heavy box from somewhere and looks for the nearest unoccupied blue-haired person.

I want to attend an engineering school! I have stuff to sell to pay for it.

"- gosh. What kind of engineering?" says the random blue.

Electrical! I'm already good at our kind of electrical engineering. Short name is Wire! I apologize if you're not the right person to talk to but I do not have a better first-pass filter than hair color at this time!

"No, that makes sense, we all talk to each other anyway. I'm actually from the population department but there's not a lot of population stuff happening so I can help you. Uh, do you happen to know if you want green or purple type electrical engineering? Or yellow, I think there's some yellow courses you could describe that way. Or a subfield?"

I'm not sure. The things I did myself are mostly making a lot of interesting gadgets from scratch, and electroplating, and weird experimental generators, things like that. That sounds more purple. But green might have more new and interesting subjects I don't already have a kind of understanding of. I have tried very hard to learn Tapap so if I can pay an amethyst for a pocket everything I can research it on my own.

"An amethyst?"

Or rubies or diamonds or gold I guess?

He opens the box. The box contains a lot of shinies between some further compartments.

"Pocket everythings aren't denominated in gemstones but I can help you get those on the auction site we've been using. And there's also some spares around for any Draak who want them, you can have one now."

Good, good! I can do my research on it. Can I set minimums? I do want to get a good deal. I can probably make jewelry and sculpture and sell it if I need to, to get enough money for a university.

"You can set minimums, yeah, or an amount of time you want to leave it open to further bidding so it doesn't go to someone lucky and fast who didn't offer much. I think stuff you make will probably sell better than raw rocks because there's not enough Draak-made stuff on the market for everyone who'd want it but I don't know much about what gems and jewelry are worth so I don't know if that box is likely to have tuition money in it already without extra work." He fetches Wire a pocket everything.

I see! A lot of what is in my box is already fashioned, it's just that raw rocks and metal can go in a big satisfying shiny pile that you just want to roll around in, I seal up the nice stuff so it's safe. Some of it is pretty and useful, too. Ooh, I definitely want some pocket everythings of my own so I can take them apart.

He apparently already knows how to use the pocket everything! He signs up for a free email account without any prompting or help at all and then starts researching engineering programs.

"- cool, I was expecting to have to show you. Uh, the auction site we're using is called Bid Up, you can make your own account if you want but if you go through us we've already told everyone the stuff isn't fraudulent if it comes through that account. No charge."

My dad showed me the basics. I feel like since I am probably going to use it a lot I will want my own account to have better control over the presentation and timing and things!

"Okay. I can tell them to let out that your account is legit too once you have one."
