This is true. Although if they're being judgmental about it she's going to scowl at her "phone."

"Monster", in the context where there's definitely not a live dungeon calling the shots, seems to be used with roughly the connotations of, like, "veteran", where you could draw inferences about potentially objectionable behavior from the entity in the past but you're definitely supposed to be chill about them now.

Oh, you know what she's going to spend a while on, she's going to catch up on "current events," both insofar as things have happened since 1999 and insofar as things have been different here than in witchworld, such as, for example, as a result of espers and dungeons. Have any presidents been different between witchworld and this one, for example, and who's been president since, and oops she may end up discovering wikiwalking. In concept if not the specific word. 

Wikipedia is there for her, presidents and all, and they are definitely specific identifiable presidents whose elections probably say interesting things about the state of politics in esperworld.

And all of this information is presumably only interesting instead of existentially horrifying because why would you put existentially horrifying presidents in a universe without a specific reason to.
