"I'm not the best at subtle."

"This afternoon, then.  On a related note, I took the liberty of purchasing you a ski mask," which he produces from behind the library desk.  "It may be prudent to obfuscate clues to your identity when you're operating in the capacity of the Slayer."

" - That is kind of ridiculously suspicious if anyone sees me in a way something like a masquerade mask won't be, but yeah, good idea. I might go out in Spiderman cosplay."

"I would imagine concealing your face in public is inherently suspicious regardless of the exact method, but, ah, as you prefer."

"One I look like a bank robber, the other like a nerd."

"I suppose that's fair.  Do you in fact have a, ah, Spider-Man costume?"

"Yeah! Don't get too many chances to wear it. This should be fun."

"Not for very long, probably."

"More meant the costume, I know vampires are serious business."

"I'm glad.  Your friend is keeping an eye on your parents, yes?  Is there anything else you need?"

"Yeah. Does your super secret agent conspiracy have like - I don't know, witness protection? Funds?"

"Unfortunately there is little affordance for giving discretionary funding directly to the Slayer, but I'd be happy to be a point of contact with the Council for you if you find you need anything.  We have no witness protection programs either."

"Thanks. Maybe something to work on? It sounds like a useful thing."

"Yes, I rather agree," he mutters.

"See, I'm good at this admin stuff."

"I shall attempt to have you promoted," he says, adjusting his glasses.  "In the meantime, are there any further preparations you would like to undertake before your mission this afternoon?"

"Hm. Can't really think of anything. Think I should go out in costume?"

"I think you should have something to conceal your identity, at any rate," he says.  "Does it restrict your movement?  Can you see well in it?"

"Spiderman doesn't have a cape, does he?  Capes always seemed like a recipe for disaster to me."

" - do forgive me if you've thought of all of this already."

"No cape! He's the wall crawler. Doesn't restrict my movement - made it out of a gymnast's outfit, and I modified the way the mask's set up so I can see already. Isn't, like, as good as plain eyes, so might want to swap to lenses before going out at night in it..."
