He tries and fails to wrench free of her grip, aims a swipe at her face -

Grab his hand, try to flip him so she can pin him on his front - "What do you want," she hisses.

His face transforms into the vampire snarl with a sickening wet crunch, and he growls at her as he tries to wrest himself free.

"Answer me, asshole."

"Don't play with your food, Slayer," he growls.

"How did you know I was here?"

"I'll talk if you let me up."

"Yeah fucking right. You'll talk or I'll dust you."

He growls and thrashes ineffectively for her neck.

"Start: how did you know where I live."

"How do I know you won't dust me once I'm done talking?"

"Scout's honor. And the ability to hunt you down later if you do lie."

"And you'll let me go when I tell you how I knew this was the Slayer's house?"

"When you finish answering my questions," she corrects.

He makes a face, clearly under the impression that he almost got away with something very clever.  "I didn't know this was the Slayer's house.  My boss told me to check it out."

"Who's your boss?"

"Another vampire.  You wouldn't have heard of her."

"That doesn't count as answering my question."

"If she gets wind I told you how to find her she'd dust me."

"You can always skip town. Which would you rather: the person with the stake in front of you, or the one you can run from?"

He hesitates for a long moment.

"She goes by Vanessa," he says finally.  "Don't know her last name.  Tall, dark hair, hangs around in the necropolis in Sunnydale Memorial Park."  This being one of Sunnydale's unusual number of cemeteries.

"Thank you. What were your instructions, exactly?"

"Hang around and try to figure out if you're the Slayer, bail if there's trouble."

"Good. Who else works for her, and what're her plans once she has confirmation?"

He names a few names, says he doesn't know where they hang out, then: "I don't know, round up a bunch of vampires and send them after you, probably?  You're the Slayer, what do you think she wants with you?"
