"I mean I said kill. And humans. Animals, consensual and non-deadly encounters with people who're into that, steal discarded blood from blood banks..."

He looks at her skeptically.  "There's humans who want to get eaten by vampires?"

"Kink! It's totally a thing."

"What am I supposed to do, walk up to humans and bars and blow the masquerade just in case they're - into that?"

"I'm assuming other vampires have figured this out at some point. Ask around?"

"Maybe I'll try the blood bank thing," he says grumpily.

"Good luck!"

"Thanks.  The password to the Line and Sinker - promise not to tell anyone where you got all this information?"  He's not in a great bargaining position but he's gotta ask.

"Of course! If I didn't keep my promises that'd make bargaining really hard."

That was easy.  "It's Lecter."

"Thank you for your contribution to society," she says cheerily. " - I'm in your house basically aren't I. Uh, anything else that seems likely to be super relevant? Then I'll get out of your hair."

"You're a really weird Slayer," he says.  "Uh, I don't know, you might look sketchy if you don't order anything but most of the things on the menu have human blood or meat in them, someone might ask you who referred you..."

"I'm a weird person in general! And I'll blame Vanessa. If it gets her in trouble, great. Can vampires have horrible inconvenient allergies or, like, religious food processing rules? Or I'll just claim to be, I don't know, an evil vegetarian demon." Taking Gaara with her and having the demon do the 'sand seeping blood' thing should be convincing at least.

"I mean are you gonna stay here implicitly threatening to stake me through the whole brainstorming process or..."

"I won't stake you, unless you like swear to drown the world in the blood of the innocents I guess but you don't strike me as that kind of dumb. If you're not getting any bright ideas, I'll head out, mausoleums aren't my brainstorming style."

"I don't have any ideas."  And he's not up for standing around poking holes in hers, so.

"I hopefully won't see you again, then!" And parkouring off, because parkour is Great.

The gang gets together outside at lunchtime the next day.

Nausicaa is restless and therefore kind of bouncy.

"Hey.  Any news?"

"Yeah. A lot." She relays what happened.

"Are you and Gaara gonna try to infiltrate this Line and Sinker place?"

"That was my thought, yeah."

"I guess I don't have to tell you to be careful.  But."

"I'll be super careful. Cross my heart."
