"It really is." 

She pauses. 

"...I'm actually kind of hungry." 

"I'm also hungry. I think I skipped breakfast? And lunch?" He looks at Marlo. "--Marlo, next time I fall down a research hole, can you make sure I eat?"

"Yes. I can." 

He bounces. "Marlo, Marlo, we should get Ron to make food and then I should tell you all about what I learned."

Lev bouncing is the best thing. 

"We should! I will do that."

Because he is going to learn about ALL THE STUDIES THAT HAVE BEEN CONDUCTED ON GAY PARENTING.

He would love to learn about all the studies that have been conducted on gay parenting, while they eat. 

Lev keeps getting distracted from eating by Marlo and by talking.

Raine and Marlo take turns reminding him to eat when he forgets; Raine's eating more than she has in — maybe months. 

Lev totally fails to notice, as he is wrapped up in infodumping at Marlo. 

The conclusion of his research is that gay parents are probably fine. 

He does notice, for all that he's wrapped up in listening to Lev monologue at him. 

"And that means," he says, bouncing, "I can be gay AND be a dad someday AND not traumatize my kids and I don't have to try to be straight after all."

Marlo laces their fingers together and smiles at Lev. 

"I should email my parents and tell them I'm gay."

"I should really talk to Alana but maybe not today." 

"I'm going to cry on you afterward," he says to Marlo.

He wraps an arm around Lev's shoulders and pulls him against his side. "That's why maybe not today," and he kisses the side of Lev's head.
