"Spellbinding only works for people who are born here; we're born with insubstantial animal companions nobody but us can see and if we turn them into solid animals we can learn spells. Mine's a cat but he's very rude and doesn't like hardly anybody. The planet's called Hex because that's what it is if you use all six of your spells for the day in one go to cast something big. I'm afraid your father's alt here passed away a few years ago." Since I'm only married for convenience it might not be too weird? "Her spells take decades, and she's got a lot of other things to do, too. So probably a long time. We might get there first, but some things are too big for hexes, we don't know how to get individual people more than six spells a day yet, and while we can pool spells between casters now, they go up exponentially in how many slots they take up and so nothing we can only do that way scales very well."
