And after a few seconds, a puddle begins to form and grow, at a rate comparable to what it'd be if she had an active garden hose left by her feet.

[specifically at rate of 12.5 gallons per minute, after consulting with the conduit discord chat]

"Well, it's not going to put the main oasis out of business, but that definitely is a decent sized puddle. Hmm. Do you mind if I put some of that in a bottle?"

"Sure, that's fine!"

Eva pops to her cavern, and returns with a small collection of glass bottles in her arms.

Getting down on the sand by Phee's feet, she captures the water as best she can, trying to not let the sand mix with it much.

When Eva begins to slide the first bottle into her water, Phee lets out a startled moan as she discovers the uncomfortable~~ly arousing~~ fact that her water generation also comes with a proprioceptive sense for what touches and enters her water.

I was not expecting this to be the first time Eva entered us, but I'm certainly not complaining!

Aaaaaaa, i didn't mean to sexually assault Eva by tricking her into entering us, aaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

Eva blinks, then shakes her head. "You felt that, huh? That must mean this water's part of you."

She considers the water thoughtfully.

"I was going to drink some of it to see if it had any effects and what the taste was like, but, ah..."

Eva shifts her grip to intersperse the cloth of her sleeve between her hand and the bottle, and finishes filling it, then stoppers it and offers it to Phee carefully so as not to drop it.

"... uh, here. It's... really awkward to be holding a piece of your body in, uh, a piece of my body. I can feel the glass when I'm touching it. Thus the sleeve."

She bites her lip. "Up to you if you are okay with me drinking... that. Uh. Yeah. I think it's a definite possible solution if you're willing to... be drunk... but like, that is one hundred percent Pink Desert being Like That and you shouldn't have to suffer it if you don't want to."

Phee nods shyly in confirmation when Eva asks if she felt it, followed by squirming and blushing harder when she hears that she had been going to drink it. (She's also holding her hands in front of lap in the manner of someone who's hard and really hopes it isn't noticed.)

"Um I um, I would be o-okay with you doing d-drinking me-I mean t-that, but I wouldn't want to like pressure you into doing or um whether you'd be o-okay with doing it when it'd almost certainly feel s-sexual for me?"

"My own powers are, ah, like that too. Whenever I form the glass it's like I'm, um, playing with myself. It's sensitive. It stops having sensory input when I let go of it, thank all my lucky stars, but... I've been making bottles and things for erokami for months now, so... You get used to it, a little."

She rubs the back of her head. "This would be a solution to my taxes. I could skip town, stay with you instead, drink your water instead of from the main oasis, and be... more or less safe. There are ambushers sometimes out in the sands, but it would probably be better than having to fuck six erokami every day just to keep myself housed."

Eva's gaze skates past Phee's. "That said it would be a... major commitment for you, in more than one way. I'd do my best to help repay you for it but the fact is I'd be drinking... you... for like ten days out of every fifteen. And that's... Yeah. At the current rate I'm... filling up my debt to this world... you'd have to stay for like two years for me to stop needing you. I mean, you don't have to stay for two whole years, but, I mean. If we were involved maybe you'd be willing? I just. I don't know you all that well yet and it's a big chance to take."

Phee nods in sympathy when Eva mentions that her powers are also like that.

And spends a while thinking before replying.

"I'd be open to doing something like that? or well tentatively or well I'm not sure how to phrase this because I wouldn't really trust myself to be able to stick to a commitment spanning more then a year, let two? and I wouldn't want you, or anyone really to trust their life to me managing that? or force the me of a year from now to keep up at something that I don't know what it's like for them for another year even if i thought i'd manage it fine or even if the me a week or month from now does it fine? But I would be fine with a meta-plan where like step 1 is seeing if I can manage to keep providing you water for a week or a month before considering switching to needing to provide you with water regularly if you'd be able to later gain access to a difference source of water within a moderate amount of time, such that if I ended up wanting to stop eventually or just take a break I'd only be committing to still be providing you with water for another month or two before I could stop instead of two years?"

And after shrugging uncertainly and taking a deep breath.

"Sorry if my rambling didn't make any sense?"

"I think that makes sense. I mean, if you're willing to try. I don't want to obligate you in any way, it's just, it'd be easier to get by."

Nod. "I am willing and I'd like to try to help!"

"Alright, then! Let's find a nice place a little ways from the city and make camp. I've got a decent tent in my cavern, and the sand is potential glass in the making, so a nice little shelter for the two of us shouldn't be too too hard. You could even stay in my cavern actually, as long as you promised not to mess anything up too much; I've got to stay out of it most of the time so I can sleep there but you'd be able to come and go freely."

For some reason the phrasing Eva used when mentioning shelter is making Phee blush even more.

"Sure! that sounds good! A-and thanks, if you're really okay with me going in your cavern?"

"I think at the point where I am literally drinking you daily it is more reasonable to extend some latitude than to not. Maybe I'll regret it but I guess that'll just be a lesson learned, and you seem friendly enough."

And with that, Eva sets out across the sands away from the city.

Nodnod. "That's reasonable, and thanks!"

And Phee will follow along, walking behind her.

Eva walks... and walks... and walks. Far enough that the city is just spires on the horizon.

It takes some time and the whole time her eyes scan the dunes, but eventually she stops on an anonymous dune and sits on the sand.

"We'll make camp here," she says.

Phee's endurance is not as good as Eva's and she slows eventually, but she does manage to keep until Eva declares they'll make camp.

"Okay!"

"Alright, I'll be back in just a minute with the tent."

Eva pops back and forth over the bridge to her cavern, and returns with a backpack slung over her shoulders. She sets it down on the ground and starts unpacking - tent, two plastic waterbottles with water from her cavern, a big plastic bag of good 'ol rasins and peanuts, and a solar charging station for her phone.

"Okay, so..." Eva looks at the assorted items. "Have you ever put up a tent before?"
