Here's a very impressed Phee at how quickly Eva can bridge and her ability to do it anywhere.

"That's really cool that you're that good at it! And It makes sense that they'd call it that!"

Smile back! "I'll make sure to get some then! Any preferences on type or dimensions, and how much I should try get you?"

"Just, like, regular A4 paper is fine. That would be a huge help, thank you."

"You're welcome! Want me to head back to Earth to grab those for you now, or would there be anything else we should or you'd wanna do first?"

"I definitely want to hear more about your powers, but that can wait until the end of the sales day. For now I've got bartering to do. See you in, uh, like an hour or two? I'll still be here."

"I'll try telling you more bout them later then! And sure that time works!"

And then she heads back to where she first arrived in this world and starts to navigate her way back to Earth.

and starts to navigate her way back to Earth.

BACK TO EARTH.

So the thing about needing to concentrate on a complicated mental task for several minutes without losing focus once or else you'll need to start over again is that it's actually pretty difficult to pull off in the middle of a crowded market, even if you're not also separately someone who does not cope well with background noise when trying to work on stuff.

So half an hour after she last saw her, Eva will find a Phee who's definitely not a nervous wreck, or on the verge of tears (One of the nice things about barely having emotions is that you're never at risk of breaking down crying!) returning back to her.

"D-do you know of somewhere quiet n-nearby? I need to be close to where I arrived to access the bridge, but i need to focus to cross it and that's difficulty when it's so markety...?"

The feeling of Phee in her senses — the aura of another person who can travel worlds, like her — doesn't go away.

So when Phee comes back looking distinctly droopier the first thing she wants to do is hug her.

She hugs her.

It's silly to get emotionally entangled with the first human she sees on this world but come on they both have magic it's clear they're going to be important to each other going forward. No sense in not establishing friendly relations.

"It'll get easier in a couple hours when the market closes. You can read a bad romance novel and hang out in the back of my shop?"

Needy glomphug!

It's silly to get emotionally entangled with the first human she sees on this world

It really is! Which is why she's not definitely getting emotional at all and merely building connections with the other Earth originating magic user. She's not coping, you're coping.

"It'll get easier in a couple hours when the market closes. You can read a bad romance novel and hang out in the back of my shop?"

"H-hopefully and t-thanks, if it wouldn't be too much trouble I'll try that?"

"Not at all! Just, uh, if you hear... noises... out the front door don't come out please. I'm coping kind of hard about the enforced exhibitionism of this world by telling myself that nobody I know from earth will ever know."

Crygiggle. "I'll try my best to resist the urge to cum over if I hear that! even if it would be very tempting..."

Eva blushes, looks away, and darts back out to the bazaar.

D-did she say that last part out loud?

The Phee is going to go hide in the stockroom and die of embarrassment distract herself with trashy romance novels now!

There are, in fact, eventually Noises from outside.

You should go look!
