"First of all, I'm not going to take a teaching job in the middle of the year. Second, I'm not going to take a position that's been cursed until the curse is definitively broken. Third, I only have an OWL in History."

"You'd still be more qualified than the last guy..." she mutters. And then, more loudly: "I can help you study up over the summer. Plus I bet Fay can break the curse. Or we can just be very efficient at killing Voldemort."

"I'm flattered by your faith in me."

"We'll see. I was thinking I could go do some bounty hunting in South America or something and use the cash to kickstart a new identity."

"I can maybe get you a good false identity faster than that."

"Then I really will need to figure out something to occupy myself here."

"The History TA position isn't cursed."

"You're very invested in getting me to stay at this school."

"I'd like to keep you close."

"I'll... think about it. While I deal with the ring and the locket."

"Alright."

"That'll involve leaving the castle, so I suppose you won't be joining me."

"I would prefer to move while we can be sure of having the informational advantage, even just with regards to my existence."

"Do you need anything from me to start on an identity?" she asks Fay.

"Preferences on origin and qualifications, I suppose."

"'Cursebreaker' might be closest."

"Alright. Do you want to still be from Britain?"

"If possible. Easier for me than trying to fake a different accent."

"You'll need to have been out of the country from age ten to twelve at least to avoid being on any lists for Hogwarts... But your accent would have settled by then, so it's excusable... Can you claim to be home schooled?"
