The city-ship of Atlantis is two days into its return journey to Pegasus Galaxy, flying through hyperspace at full power, when something anomalous starts to happen.
"Yes. I believe first contact with the local goverment on the planet we landed on is exactly the sort of thing I should be present for."
Tap on the ear, "Lorne, take someone with you and go get a jumper. We're going to a meeting via some sort of teleportation, should be within 200 miles. I'm taking a tracker, and want you to cloak and hover over us. Keep far away from people, it seems they can see through cloak."
"Also turn on comms relay on the jumper, should have the range to bridge us to Atlantis if we need it."
To all military personnel on Atlantis: "We are being informed about possible hostiles on the planet, everyone not from Atlantis, except people in conference room on the third floor of the west pier is assumed intruder and to be detained for further investigation. Mind control may be involved, so I want everyone on Goa'uld infiltrator protocol – never be alone, double the guard on sensitive locations, report all weird behavior to both your commanding officer and one of your fellows. Until I return, Teyla Emmagan is in charge."
With that over, and some time for everyone to get their gear (handguns and wraith stunners for weapons, it's a civil meeting after all), they come back to the conference room.
"I can bring along three people, whereas Sir Muris can bring two. I think it's better if you split into two groups of two, so that in the off chance something goes wrong we are more balanced and have a better chance to regroup and recover. It's very unlikely though, we both know Vigil very well, it would be surprising to land off target."
"When you're ready you can grab our hands. We'll go first, and Sir Muris will follow immediately after."
She extends her left hand, and grabs Clepati's one with her right.
"Let's go!"
The teleport feels vaguely familiar, not entirely unlike going through a Stargate.
They reappear into the living room of a small house.
The floor is made of wood, as is most of the furniture. There are houseplants all over the room, the place is positively filled with them.
"Marco! Quante volte ti ho detto di avvisarmi prima di invitare i tuoi amici a casa! Povera me, la casa è un disastro!"
Of course today would be the one time he misses a Teleport.
... SIGH.
