"I only offered to show it to Matt. Matt is obviously always the exception here."

"And Lydia, Harley, and Scott just don't exist in this universe?"

"Oh, I don't mind. There are things a girl has to do when there's a man in her life."

"Besides, she doesn't decide who reads your diaries. Right?"

"Maybe if he kept them out of reach of tiny five-year-old Juliet's hands I wouldn't be addicted to reading them and wouldn't be recommending them to my boyfriend."

"They were locked in a cabinet in my room, you broke the glass."

"My point still stands."

"She was a real go-getter, huh."

He wraps his arms around her, kissing her neck.

"I suppose you could call it that."

She smiles in delight and and leans into Matt.

"What was I supposed to do? I couldn't find the key anywhere."

"Yeah, every problem needs more broken glass."

"Scott, come on, let her have her fun. It was years ago."

"I stand by my method. Today and ten years ago. It's tried and true."

"Did you at least clean up after yourself? It's not much fun if you get caught."

"I was five. And immediately went and made Damon read them to me."

"She's incapable of feeling shame. My little sociopath."

"Our little sociopath."

He kisses her, which rather completely occupies them the rest of the trip.

Juliet is very pleased with this result and is not complaining. Probably ever.

He pulls into Jackson's house...and beeps the horn.

Jackson comes out and joins them.

”McCall. Harlowe. Lydia. How’s everyone doing?”

He ignores the kissing couple.

“We’re doing okay. I’m Scott, this is Harley.”

"You can sit in the front away from the spectacle in the back. I'm Stefan, Juliet's cousin."

“It’s great to meet you.”

He looks at Lydia as he sits down.

“Damon, too.”

“What a good-looking family.”
