"What, you don't think he'd appreciate me having another boy on my arm?" 

"Most boys don't. You could try convincing him."

"Maybe not. That might split his attention too much. I require all of it. I'm selfish like that."

She picks up her jacket and they leave the room.

Lydia looks for Damon on their way out.

No Damon, but Stefan and Zach are in the foyer.

"All ready to go?"

"Who is going to be there again? You mentioned Scott."

"Scott and his friend Harley. And Lydia's boyfriend Jackson. It's a group thing. Matt is going to be there too, you don't have to worry."

He nods. "Stick with Matt then. Have him call me if something happens."

"I'll be fine. Enjoy your date."

Not my boyfriend," she mumbles, but Salvatores at large don't need to be corrected on that.

They go.

"You both look very nice, you do good work, Lydia. Is fashion something you're interested in?"

They get into a large and very expensive SUV and head off.

"Erica mentioned that she wants your closet, so you're definitely leaving an impression."

She directs Stefan to Matts house.

"It's one of my many interests."

"So far I know you like fashion, bowling, Latin and Damon. I suppose that's enough to work with. I am pretty knowledgeable on the latter two."

"I'm sure Stefan doesn't want to hear about this."

She rolls her eyes.

"Stefan needs to stop being so stuffy. Maybe going out with Sean would help with that, he pretty much worships him. Could be beneficial."

"He's just a kid, Juliet. He'll find someone else soon."

"Sean Walcott? He's cute enough, no major complexes. I'd go for it."

She laughs.

"Another endorsement! See, I'm always right. You haven't had anyone serious since her, Sean will do you good."

He pulls up to Matts house in record time.

"This has nothing to do with her."

"Juliet, I hope if there's any juicy gossip, you'd tell me."

"I will totally fill you in later, it's downright scandalous. But boyfriend awaits."

She hops out of the car and knocks on Matts door.

Matt answers. He's appropriately dressed for the venue, and seems to appreciate Juliet's outfit.

After he kisses her, they can collect the next one.

Okay but they can wait just a little bit longer so Juliet can appreciate the kiss properly.
