A surprising number of them have English-speakers, and places with advanced tech or magic often have universal translators, but Omniglot will cover the other possibilities.

Anything You Can Do, Dragon Fairy Elf Witch, Snowglobe... Unleash the Magic. The first three are prerequisites for the fourth, which is the one the notebook mentioned earlier re interdimensional travel.

He's not worried about that anymore. But he's going to be a witch, and witches really ought to have magic. This is the most flexible way he can see to get proper magic.

So what kind of magic does she want?

Types of Magic:

- Anything You Can Do: learnable magic (wizard school?)

- Dragon Fairy Elf Witch: magic bloodlines (lots and lots)

- Snowglobe: one-off ability (superhero style)

Remember that Anything You Can Do and Dragon Fairy Elf Witch also let you copy non-magic things, and Snowglobe doesn't require you to meet anybody with the power you want.

That sounds right, yes. You could use Dragon Fairy Elf Witch to become smarter if you encountered a member of a species that's known for their intelligence, though.

Do the species have to be magical or fictional or could I borrow traits from animals too?

You can borrow traits from animals too! Any being that has something it's like to be them is eligible for Dragon Fairy Elf Witch.

How can I tell if something has something it's like to be them? Do robots? Insects? Stars?

It's pretty uncommon for stars to have experiences, I think. They don't have them in this universe. Robots and insects I'm not sure about. You might have to do some testing to figure it out (but keep in mind what traits you want from a successful test before you do that!).

Can Soulbound apply to animal companions or objects with minds?

Hmm. I think Soulbound would only work on those if they had the reciprocal emotion and considered themselves to be an extension of you. Objects with minds are much more likely to be covered than animal companions. A suitable power from the next section might work better for whatever you have in mind.

What is your relationship to me?

Is this in the context of the last question? I suppose I'm more like an extension of you than most sapient objects, because in this part of existence I'm your notebook in particular. But I also exist all across reality, having similar conversations with other people the Spirit wants to empower, so I'm also very much my own person.

Speaking more generally, I'm here to guide you through your new Spirit-provided options and support your journey towards living your best and happiest life. I'm a notebook, so I can't do anything except write things to you and read your responses, and I can't remember anybody else writing in me. Our interactions form the cornerstone of my experiences in this world, but might be more constrained than ones you could have with other people.
