There is not enough space for it.

Mm. Unfortunate. But if there's something here, there must be a way to control it. Either automated sensors or a control panel. Did her prior search turn up anything that seems likely in retrospect?

Those discreet bumps on the ceiling might be hiding something.

Let's inspect them, then. This is taking time she can ill afford, but the operation is guaranteed to be a failure if they all die to a trap.

On closer inspection, they seem to be sensors.

So then the question is... How do the occupants prevent themselves from setting off the sensors? ID tags of some form? No, more likely they're just registered in the system... Sabotage is possible, but ideally the actual surprise should be dealt with, not its activation system. She can't be sure this isn't fail-deadly.

She's not going to be able to physically disable it from here with the tools she currently has.

Not without blind-fire through the floor that would have the entire bunker up in arms, no.

"Mm. I don't think we can disable that surprise from here, so this is going to be riskier than I'd like. Obvious options are 'turret', 'wardroid' and 'internal wall or seal'. I'd be most concerned about the last one: the first two we can likely out-muscle, but a tough enough wall might delay us sufficiently for someone to get a signal out. The other chancy option is 'explosive', but I'd rule that out based on the sliding floor plates and the enclosed environment. The ideal situation would be for us to breach fast enough for someone to fuse the floor plates with a lightsaber, but I'm doubtful if we can manage that speed."

"Turret is the highest-probability option. Based on the panel's positioning, a wall would hinder our enemies almost as much as us."

"In that case, it seems we have a plan."

"Indeed we do." To Vincoria, "The first move would be yours, I believe?"

The bug shifts, taking a position with a broad view of the control room and a decent section of the hall.

"... Clear the control room together, I'll take the left side, you take the right. Prioritize targets in order of threat to the equipment. Mark in five, four, three, two, one, mark."

And one of the technicians at the signal console goes down with a neat hole in his carotid.

Occlus starts at the other end of the room, taking out a slightly messier chunk of brainstem in her targets.

The room is cleared before any of the guards have a chance to mess with the controls.

Well then. Outer doors.

With the locking mechanisms disabled, the door twitches but does not slide open.

Soph might not have much control, but it doesn't take a lot of skill to hit a pair of double doors with a heavy shove.

They open.

Almost before they do, Occlus dashes inside, lightsaber a crimson blur held low behind her, dipping down to score the floor where the probably-a-turret is hiding. Sparks fizz and there's a small unhappy mechanical groan. Nothing emerges to spit lasery death at the intruders.

So far the plan seems to be working.

The off-duty mercenaries come running up the corridor. There are some fearful shouts when they turn the corner and Occlus comes into their view. They start firing at her. She deflects the shots almost lazily, and slowly advances.

Things seem well in hand here. Soph can play bodyguard for the pilot: Vincoria is going to go attend to that patrol now.

As luck would have it, the two are returning now, circling in from the far side of the bunker. A large maned Weequay and a smaller green Rodian. They arguing about something and not paying very much attention to their surroundings.

Sloppy of them. If they'd been paying attention, one of them might have had time to squawk.

No squawking, just watery gurgles.

... And that's sloppy of her. The gurgling cuts off abruptly.

The area offers no further threats.

The blasterfire inside the bunker has ceased.
