"Dreams can feel real," Krian says like he is talking with a small child, "and are you honestly telling me that it is more likely for me to sleepwalk into your bedroom than you just having a dream?"

"It wasn't a dream. You just don't remember or don't want to admit to it."

"What a clever plan," Krian says dryly.

They eventually go to school, but are obviously less friendly than usual. Krian is in a bit of a mood due to the lack of sleep.

Ev is at school! He's busy talking to a few people about a thing – upcoming party, maybe – so he might not notice as the cousins get to school.

Matil is here, though, in the typical group with the typical people.

Rashel's not yet here. Nor is Thar.

Kay checks his phone. No new messages?

Nnnope! The bell hasn't gone yet, though, and it's totally possible that she's just arriving late today. Or maybe she actually is sick today, who knows.

Okay, the cousins can just go over there and talk with their friends.

Well, Krian can stay there looking obviously tired.

Poor Krian.

After a few minutes, however, the bell does go! Neither Thar nor Rashel have shown up, though.

And no sign of Thar in math. Does Rashel show up for their study period? No? Okay, how about Eivar or Matil?

Eivar and Matil are both present in the study period, as is normal and expected!

Kay sits with them and asks how they are doing, and if they saw Rashel.

They are doing fine! Matil's sitting next to Ev, how convenient, and says that no, he's not seen Rashel.

Which is a little weird, actually – she rarely misses school. Huh, must be ill.

Yeah, that must be it.

Krian is studying, making notes. He's looking very closely at his notes.

So close it might look like he just fell asleep on them.

Matt notices and frowns. "You okay there?" he asks.

"He sleepwalked last night."

"I didn't sleep well last night, that is all."

"Oh, okay," says Matt. "You might wanna be careful about sleeping on your work, though – might get ink on your face or something…"

"Yeah," says Ev, looking at Krian.

"Yeah," Krian says tiredly patting his face, "is there any ink?"

Ev looks around a bit and then says, "Nah, you're okay."

Then he gets on with some work. He needs to write a short essay for Thamar, such fun.

Krian returns to fighting sleep deprivation.

And eventually the study period ends.
