The bell rings.
For someone with so much free time he feels like he is always late to things. The school map isn't really that useful, so he asks someone.
"Hi? I am looking for Ms. Smith's class?"
The bell rings.
For someone with so much free time he feels like he is always late to things. The school map isn't really that useful, so he asks someone.
"Hi? I am looking for Ms. Smith's class?"
Smile. "Just transferred. My name is Arthur Jameson." He offers her a hand.
She shakes it. "Adedayo Iroko, but you can call me Dayo. Classes started a month ago, where'd you come from?"
"Hello, Dayo. New York. Moved here with my uncle, the timing wasn't right to move before classes."
"Normal? I think people exaggerate how scary the big city is. Are you a Florida native?"
"It's definitely better than most I attended when I was a kid. People are nice, the classes aren't terrible, lots of teachers let me study other stuff in class."
Funny how that works.
It's only been a month, there isn't a lot of new content to catch up on, and presumably Arthur wasn't idling along during this time so he should be fine. And if he's not, Dayo's actually pretty good at math.
Then they won't have any problems!
Their next class is AP Calc, which they apparently have together as well.
Great. Then they can walk together there. "Do you have many friends here?"
"Ehhh. I have one close friend but I'm friendly enough with everyone else. How about you, do you miss people from NY?"
"Ah, maybe a few, but my two closest friends had already moved away last year."
Sore subject, okay.
"Jessica doesn't like math very much but we'll see her at lunch."
"Math, science, psych, econ, all the nerdy stuff. I'm terrible at languages, though."
