"They've got a bit of an extra hurdle in getting child permissions but they're fine, Cene surrendered and there's a Cene guy in the metrology department and he's fine."

"So if I demand you surrender, and then if you refuse I murder your whole family, that would be morally fine because I technically gave you an option?"

He does not look very surprised. He does not demand that anyone surrender.

Elves start coordinating a departure from Tirion so the Valar will hopefully be less upset with the aliens if they make trouble. 

The polymath goes back through the wardrobe without offering a phone.

When Maitimo and Avalor wake up he explains that Elves are going to go south a ways so that there's no conflict which the Valar would overreact to. The Valar will probably still overreact but hopefully less so.

"I don't think that will help," says Avalor.

"They can just chase you."

"We are hoping they won't particularly bother, since it's space that all the fuss is about."

"They can fill up your city and still want more."

"The Valar will be here within a few days."

"Will they kick them out of of the city?"

"They will definitely do that."

"Good."

"We're going to go to some hills from which we can still see the city, and camp there for the few days until the Valar arrive."

"Should I come with?"

" - I was rather assuming you'd prefer that to dealing with the soldiers, but it's your choice."

"I meant instead of going back."

"Well then no you shouldn't go back."
