Thank you, I will.

Cihua Couatl, here are my credentials. I have a question: do you believe you could adapt this alchemical solution to use Arcadian herbs?

Let me look at this...

I'm afraid I can't adjust it. While I am a patron of healers and midwives, my aspect as a protector is much stronger than my aspect as a healer. As such...

I'm sorry to hear that. Well, thank you for your time.

It's nothing. You made the attempt decisively, and that's what matters.

Well, that was always going to be a long shot. She supposes they can't all be like Tian Xia.

Let's try the Mwangi Expanse now.

Adanye, are you there? I'm Sunaira; here are my domains. Have you ever considered the value of birth control?

I have not. But given your domains, we have more important things to discuss. You care deeply about consent, yes?

I do.

I care deeply about self-determination. The right to follow one's heart, to be yourself, to have a space of one's own.

I've heard about you through Shelyn, and I think you're doing a good thing by spreading more modern sexual mores. Everyone deserves space to be themselves, and that is something that many women don't have in these times.

I would linger by your hearth, if you would have me. You know the ways of my priestesses, yes? They make their homes in the temples of other deities.

If Sunaira had a body she would be blushing right now. It's rare that she's approached by someone who isn't a deity of pleasure like her.

As it is, she merely pauses for a hyper-instant to process before she says yes.

And in a little corner of Sunaira's domain, a cat who is also a girl who is also a goddess curls up by the fire, and stays.

There are layers and depth to this interaction, as well. Adanye doesn't have the strength to maintain a full spectrum of connection the way that Kofusachi does, but many memories spool out nonetheless. Mostly they are of intimacy, rather than sexuality. Moments spent alone together. Adanye has always been catlike in that she lives in the presence of a deity but is never quite hers. She keeps her own counsel, her own place by the hearth.

But she lingers, and for a while they are content outside this world.

This Sunaira remembers an evening in front of the fire, softly stroking the ears of a goddess who has curled up and gone to sleep in her lap.

It is enough to express something. This goddess is her true ally, who seeks to give all others a place they are accepted for their own way of being. She is young and weak, compared to Sunaira: nonetheless, the connection is deep.

Adanye will have a place at her hearth.

Adanye tells her of Murraseth, of her patronage to the amurrun (known as catfolk to most), and her relationship with Desna, goddess of dreamers like her. She is not a cat with a single owner.

There is little she can do to add to Sunaira's strength, being occupied with her own small people; but there will be a paw print left in a corner of each of Sunaira's temples, to let her followers know that here is safety.

And on Sunaira goes. Adanye has counseled her against speaking to Lubaiko - the Spark in the Dust is too bright, too chaotic, worse even than Calistria - so she will focus on Uvuko instead.

Here is her letter of introduction from Adanye.

He doesn't speak to many other deities. Most of them are scary and loud and brash.

Adanye speaks well of Sunaira, though.

He supposes he'll listen.

She lays out her pitch for a gradual transition to more modern sexual mores. It is in Uvuko's domains for all things to change, is it not? And he is a deity of fertility.

He'll see what he can do while keeping this quiet from Lubaiko. She is always eager to start a new revolution, and this is a life-changing innovation; it will inevitably cause an upset when it's introduced to her sphere of influence. That's when things start burning down.

Don't give this to Lubaiko, please. She just wants an excuse to light things on fire.

... Yes, she will not give this to Lubaiko. That she was so driven by chaos was a detail that had escaped her until now.

Thank you for your time, Uvuko.

Don't mention it. Just leave him to his work.

She will.

That leaves just the old Osirian deities and Bolka.

She's been saving Bolka for last. She seems like a deeply interesting goddess.

Hello, Bolka. I'm Sunaira, here are my domains; Pleasure, Love, Sacrifice, Kinks.

She is the dwarven goddess of Beauty, Desire, Love, Marriage, Passion, and Committed Relationships.

Bolka is an old player. Her portfolio is deep in a way many deities' portfolios aren't.

She has a sense of Sunaira already. She's seen her impacts on her dwarves, the way that she's changed the landscape of desire. She approves. She's been spreading alchemic contraception on her own ever since Calistria passed it into her hands.

New love is flourishing, and she owes a debt. She will see it repaid, in time.

You can count on that.

This is a time when being humble is worth it. She has less knowledge of this gameboard than Bolka; and they are, fundamentally, playing the same game.

She will listen to everything Bolka has to say on how to play this board. She should have come here far earlier.

It is enough that Sunaira's come here in her own time. Sometimes you just need to take some time to try it your own way.

Here is everything she knows about passion, desire and beauty. May it do Sunaira good.

Thank you.

She takes time over it, but eventually she has to check back in on her play.

What's going on in the Inner Sea region?

Sinflower and her alchemical contraceptive are being spread quickly. Calistria is in a tearing hurry to seduce as many people as she can. Prominently touched are elves, courtesans, and anyone affiliated with House Avenstar, which is mass-producing the alchemical formula. You can now purchase effective contraception from reputable vendors in Absalom and several other ports across the Inner Sea, particularly in Andoran and Taldor. Acceptance is slow in Osirion despite the efforts of Calistrian smugglers to spread the valuable formulation.

The Church of Abadar has received a large number of potions and elixirs from the Rose Bowers, and many of their formulas are being duplicated for use by the nobility. They're still novelties, but in many cases they're cheaper than permanently enchanted toys, so they have a market niche.

It has also become generally known that you can now summon a Wing from the Rose Bowers for sexual tasks rather than risking a succubus. This has made a few summoners slightly more wealthy; regulation has yet to catch up given that the proponents of this are mostly powerful magic-users.

Contraception is under legal debate in Osirion. The Pharaoh has yet to comment.
