"D'you know where Raafi went this morning? I got up and he wasn't in the cave."

"Doing their prayers, probably. They take about an hour, every morning at sunrise."

"Oh. Okay!"

Nom nom breakfast.

"Yeah, if you visit their world they'll show you all that stuff. Or if you ask." Nom, lean. "It's really neat, I think. The philosophy's not for me, though."

"Yeah, it seems kind of... orthogonal? to most religions I know about. Traveling's not a usual thing to have your god interested in. The Gand have a thing about finding stuff, but I dunno if it's really all that similar."

"Yeah, it's different when you have gods that are actual people. We met Fharlanghn, actually, they showed up where I was putting in a portal to thank me."

"What was it like?"

"I didn't know what was going on, at the time," she giggles. "They really are just like a regular person, and a lot of their other clerics had been going out of their way to meet me, too, so I thought they were just another one of them with a lot of spells on or something, until Raafi told me afterward."

Hee hee.

"I would have thought a god would be, likely, more noticeably impressive."

"They can be when they want to be; I think they just didn't want to distract me from working." She chuckles. "And some gods are all the time - Milliways doesn't get gods often, but I've seen a few."

"Cool."

"Mmhmm." Lean nom. Hug.

Class time!

Class time! Raafi grins at Ana and Aren when the group gets to the cave, and then heads up to the forest.

After class, the kobold has a couple of announcements: Firstly, her afternoons look like they're going to be pretty free for the next while, if anyone wants some extra tutoring. Secondly, she's going to be going home for an extended visit soon; she's not actually going to be gone for more than a couple minutes from their perspective, but it'll be several weeks for her, so if they have any questions about what they've been covering in class it'd be a good idea to ask her soon while her memories are fresh.

Is she leaving today or later?

They have at least a few days; she hasn't picked a specific time yet.

The two with all the questions will take her up on the extra tutoring. The others will probably put in some appearances, too.

She'll be hanging out in the usual meeting spot when she's available, or have a portal there to Milliways; there's no need to make specific appointments.

And then class is done!

And so class disperses. Except for Aren.

And Ana.

"Raafi should be back soon; they were going to try hunting down below the lake this morning."

"Okay. I had some questions about that atmospheric stuff while we wait..."

Raafi shows up after another fifteen minutes, with a deer-creature's worth of steaks and some fruit and tubers.

Ana is still magic-ing.

Aren greets him with a hug, once he sets his burden down.

Aren gets a hug and a kiss. "Have you ever cooked over a fire?"
