"Do they do anything interesting?"

"Can't say I know the details. Do you need me to look into it?"

"It'd be helpful."

"I can find what you need for the right price. You can get a discount for the heroic rescue."

"Five jinx."

She surreptitiously checks the pieces to confirm their composition, and pockets them.

"One of them is supposed to be in Sigil, but the other one left on the Styx a few peaks back. How should I get in touch?"

"You can leave a message with the bartender at the Hanged Halfling."

"I'll do that."

She grins, turning to go. Her tail whips and she's off at a run.

Any signs her pursuers tracked them?

Her pursuers seem to have failed to pursue her.

Excellent. Then she can go back and check on her guest.

Sefi turns in too.

The light changes, as much as it ever does in Sigil. Those that walk during the day give way to those that walk the night. They revel and debate and fear and study, and then they give way to those that walk the day once more.

The rain has stopped by the time Sefi wakes up. The smog returns to its usual concentration, ever-present throughout the city. 

Lovely.

"So where is this person?"

"Not far. So, Anika is actually on a quest from Duathal and was promised the Waystaff as a reward."

"Ugh."

"It's not so bad. She doesn't actually care about it all that much. She just wants to have fun on her adventure, and this is a convenient excuse. As long as you don't eat any babies in front of her there shouldn't be too many problems."

"But she is accompanied by a cleric. He might be uh, a little more troublesome."

"I hate clerics."

"They have their uses. And he's not the one in charge. Just try not to kill him gratuitously, that's all I ask."
