"Why do you care?"

"I know a lot of people. Might be able to help."

"That's not an answer."

"Sure it is. But if you want a more selfish motivation, try this: someone who's coming out of Carceri with enemies and who is looking for something is probably also looking for revenge. Revenge tends to destabilize things. And I find stability boring."

She gives the human a long, intense stare.

Sefi looks back at her, calmly.

"Have you heard of the Waystaff of Duathal?"

"As in Muamman Duathal? Not specifically. But I know someone who might have, actually."

"Really."

"I told you, I know lots of people. Met this one just the other day, in fact. Convenient timing."

"Very. Was it around here?"

"Ha. No. No, she wouldn't be welcome in this bar. I hope that's not a problem for you."

"If it becomes one, it won't be because of me."

"That's good. I'm Sefi, by the way."

"Elatra."

"Do you have somewhere to stay? I don't think Anika's going to be reachable until tomorrow."

"Not yet."

"I know a place, if you want."

"All right." She stands to leave.

The brawl that has broken out distracts anyone who might have accosted an unfamiliar tiefling.

He salutes Sefi from his perch.

She gives him a small wave as they depart.

Out into the streets of Sigil.

"So where is this place?"

"Not far. Come on."

A halfling searches through a pile of garbage, glancing furtively at them as they pass.

An aasimar whispers quietly to a human druid, who smiles and says nothing.

The dabus communicate amongst themselves, cryptically as always.

A gnome crosses their path, atempting to sell them a book. He eyes Ellie nervously.

Make sure the halfling's not following. Smile back at the aasimar and druid. Nothing to be done about the dabus.
