The Styx Oarsman is not traditionally welcoming to humans. But Jarkman recognizes this Leaguer by now, and he only makes one crack about how she owes him a new pack of cigars before letting her pass.
The faint candlelight isn't much help to someone of her pedigree, but no one comes to this tavern to admire the view.
The barman greets her with the usual grunt, and everyone returns to their conversations. Humans may be uncommon around here, but business is business.
So. The Styx. This Silverheart must be heading for one of the Lower Planes. Too bad that tiefling doesn't seem the type to have many friends.
But it's a good start. She heads back out. Does she have time to chase down anyone else before morning?
Lissandra can typically be found in the Lady's Ward, where someone asking too many questions is suspicious.
Sefi is, luckily, unremarkable.
Regardless, no one finds her worth accosting in the street.
The Lady's Ward is clean. The streets are clear of refuse, garbage, and the like. The gardens are well-maintained, and exist. The buildings show no signs of wear, except those that have been allowed to gracefully age.
Landmarks include the prison, the courthouse, the barracks, and the statue of the renowned wizard, Bigby.
Lovely place. Someday she's going to absolutely wreck its facade, and then it will be even lovelier.
But not right now. That would interfere with her other project.
Lissandra is in the middle of interviewing a very confused and increasingly upset passerby.
Well, as long as they're not doing anything as stupid as that fighter with Rule-of-Three...
No, it mostly seems like an unproductive interrogation. Eventually, Lissandra waves her off.
"Nothing more interesting than usual. The Styx isn't the place for interesting things to happen, being that it's a pathway. For a little jink, I might be able to tell you about something interesting going on in Baator..."
Harrumph.
"My expertise is shifting portals. The Styx has never been a big draw."
Sefi looks at her consideringly for a moment, then pulls out four silver coins and flicks them over one by one.
