"I was just in the neighborhood, thought I'd stop by and watch a couple rounds."

"Ha! Yeah! Did you see the one with the tattoo, that footwork. It was beautiful."

"Yeah, no kidding. Hey, since I found you, I actually wanted to ask you something."

"Have you heard of something called the Waystaff of Duathal?"

"Uh. Yeah. It's kind of a big thing."

"It is, huh. We should talk."

"...Are you up to something?"

"I'm always up to something, sweetie. You'll like it, trust me."

Anika giggles.

"All right. Should probably get my partner in on the discussion, though. He's back at the inn, come on."

Back to the inn, then.

The inn contains several patrons, a bar, and other forms of entertainment.

Once they realize he's not in the common area, Anika is free to knock.

A familiar bariaur answers the door.

Familiar to Anika, anyway. Sefi may not have actually seen one in person before.

He taps one of his hooves nervously on the floor.

"Anika Idunsdottir, greetings. And your friend?"

"Sefi Mevane."

"She's the one I mentioned the other day, who said she might be able to help us."

"Of course."

He steps out of the way, letting them in.

"What do you want from us?"

They enter.

"She wants to know about the Waystaff of Duathal."

"He never promised it to her. What do you want if for?"

"I don't want it for anything. I just want to know what it does."

His tail twitches.

"It can banish people that it touches. I don't know where."

"I see. Does Duathal still have it?"

"He does. He promised it to Anika as a reward."

"For finding Idun, right?"

"That's the plan."
