And she picks up.  "Hello?"

"Hello Luna! This is Riley with the Spirit Association. I wanted to update you on some things I looked into based on to-do list, is now a good time?"

"Now's a good time, sure!"

"You wanted to look into sensors that watch sensors, has anybody had this idea, and same thing with anti-aging magic. I've got a list of relevant books for both topics; The short version is that there are ways for both things, but they're all limited and all have drawbacks. No silver bullet, at least in the existing work. I'll email you the book titles in a bit. Next, I'll also be emailing you a few different therapist recommendation portals since you mentioned wanting to look into that. There are reviews. We can cover all your sessions 100%, under full privacy laws, no pressure. Also, your mother called earlier and your monster hunting license is done and we now have what we need to set up a bank account for you. -Oh, sorry, that was a lot all at once, wasn't it? I'll slow down. Did you catch all that?"

"I'm surprised she did that, but I copy - There's book recommendations, therapist recommendations which had better maintain standard patient confidentiality because there's privacy laws about that, and my mother did her paperwork.  And the Association can pay for the therapists.

"Honestly if you're emailing it to me it's semi-redundant to tell me now, but do continue?"

"We'd sue 'em into oblivion if they break it. There's also some classes and social clubs we can arrange for you, if you're interested. There's quite a variety, from practice with various weapons to see how you'd handle them, showmanship and control exercises, park ranger classes, even enchanting. In terms of clubs, everything from sports and joint patrols to board games and ice cream lunches."

"Enchanting is something I'm definitely interested in, and do send me the ice cream schedule."

"Okay, I'll send you an email with those as well. Would you like me to stick with email as a first option in the future?"

"Generally, yes; I trust my brain less than I trust the mailserver."

"Got it! Alright, goodbye, then!"

Bing, you've got mail. The promised lists of book titles appear first, and the schedules for enchanting classes and ice-cream socials (she needs to sign up for the former ahead of time) after a bit.

She'll register for enchanting classes!

And probably the weapon testing, too.  And the control exercise classes.

And the ice-cream social.

And honestly she's going to want to add more training to her schedule, especially in this frontloaded critical period.

Is there somewhere these schedules are hosted on your intranet, perchance?  Or even better, on the Internet, probably behind a login; I'd hate to miss something because I hadn't schlepped myself to the local office recently.

The slots for enchanting lessons are fairly restricted; The other classes are pretty open. She is now signed up for a bevy of them, starting whenever she wants to. The first enchanting lesson slot is tomorrow (Tuesday) at 1 PM. Soonest one that's not during school hours is a 10 AM on Saturday. Riley attached a little note saying she can talk to the school about an excused absence, they're usually pretty good about granting them if it's for magic lessons and you have decent grades.

The Spirit Association is still getting used to the internet being a thing for the most part.

Here's a semi-official site (run by members but not guaranteed accurate or official): Link

She checks her course schedule; it looks like she can just barely make it to DC without missing classes that Tuesday, if the traffic's good.  Or her movement powers are.

Speaking of which, she and Clara really ought to see how fast they can move.

Their baseline athleticism is not markedly changed. A jog and a sprint still feel about the same. What exactly is she going to do to try and go faster?

Well, you see, Clara already has a movement-augmenting spell!  Right?  So what they will test, and hopefully practice - in Diana's raiment, with its handy athletic protection, so as to avoid scraped knees et al. - is how fast that goes, how far it goes (long jumps, high jumps...), and the ways that that spell can vary.

...she can't believe she forgot to look up whether it was safe to drink conjured water.  Anyway.  This might honestly be more Diana's bailiwick, so...

Diana wraps the wind of motion around her like a cloak, and starts moving.  She needs to get a handle on how to fight with augmented capabilities, and the first step to that process is figuring out how to actually control her motion while she's using them.

...The resulting magical-girl pratfall videos will probably help her popularity if she plays them right, at least.

The movement-enhancing gusts of wind seem to be ideal for short, rapid bursts. Holding an intent firmly in mind for their behavior can control them fairly well, but when not paying careful attention they blow seemingly where they please. She can work out with only half a dozen pratfalls a sort of repeated lunging motion that uses gust after gust on each 'lunge' to speed herself along. It's only about as strenuous as a moderate jog once she settles into the rhythm, and she can manage a four-minute mile 'run' without particularly trying hard.

Good.  Can she do better?  What happens if --

No, they are not going to test being a rocket-powered magical girl on the school's track.

But what they maybe can test, with Sylvia's assistance, is "what about imitating the Silver Surfer?"

She's never actually been surfing before per se but she's actually pretty good at balancing!

Although, she rather thinks that they should do this as more of a glider than an air-surfboard.

Air-surfboards are rather impractical, and just because she is tanky doesn't mean she likes tanking.

...and they'll probably need a bit more runway for this than is readily available here, but...

She's gonna go fly-iiing~!

...There are some things they can pre-test, however, like how much metal they can move with how much force with only her mind, how much flexibility that has, and how fast Clara's wind can blow.
