Shaping earth in any large amount, at a distance no less, seems to be beyond Sylvia. At least without more focus and time. Luna's manipulation of water does not really come with a very distinct sense of water, though the eddies and swirls of liquid reveal - not one but many small clumps of transparent wriggling fluid worming their way surprisingly quickly along the ditch away from her.

But they're all moving along the ditch?  Well, then.

Ophelia shall quickly make sure there isn't any slime in the culvert -

- to allow Sylvia to reclaim metal enough to scoop them all up -

- into a nice convenient receptacle for Diana to boil!

The slime is not happy about this! It tries to nimbly reach out tendrils towards her out of the makeshift bucket! A few pieces - easily missed against the clutter - are clinging to her boots and singing them, digging into the material. It seems to be rapidly getting weaker, though.

...Note to self, slam the lid on first next time.

She'll do that now, actually!

And, with the main mass contained, Luna will swap in to powerwash out their boots.

Ophelia can handle the rest, afterwards.  The vessel is dark and full of monsters - and Ophelia does a very good impression of a grue.

Switching Ophelia's shadowy energy to a hungry mass of tiny blades is sufficient to make the animate slime stop being animate after a brief delay. Her raiment is a bit damaged, but it's quickly getting better, and there's none of that odd mental strain that came when her body was damaged, before.

Wonderful.

She returns to the call.

"The slime is dead."

Does anything else smell foul?

"Oh, good. Anything else in the area? Any damage or injuries?"

The answer seems to be 'no'.

"We sent the patrol for this area your way, just so you're aware."

"Nothing I can detect.  I am entirely unharmed.  I believe the patrol would be best served covering an area I am not in, but I have hardly made a study of monster spawn patterns.  Yet, at least.  Is there anything further you would like from me, before I depart?  I do have classes to get to soon enough that I'd prefer to save minutes."

"It's standard practice, depending on how busy things are, he'll check out the area. No collateral damage at all? Can you confirm the location of Rutherford and Magnolia?"

"Unless you count a stretch of mud being turned up a bit 'collateral damage', no collateral damage.  The thing just slithered down a ditch.  Scooped it up, blenderized it, it was done.  Yes, Rutherford and Magnolia."

"Okay, thank you, that's all we need. Have a lovely day, and be careful out there."

Oh look! There's a boy with a black and blue jacket and way too many scarves flowing in the wind, 'roller skating' on nothing but splashes of mist towards her, carrying an elaborate bow made of some pearly material!

He slows down on the approach and taps an earpiece. "Yep dispatch, slime's merked already. Damn. Yeah, yeah, you told me."

Then he crosses his arms and nods at her, perhaps trying a bit too hard to look cool. Given the number of scarves he's not been at this too much longer than Luna has.

"Hey, newbie. Slimes are the worst, eh?"

"Truthfully, I haven't enough experience to render comment.  First monster I've tracked down as a proper magical being.  I daresay they would be more annoying if not for raiment that I have argued the raiment gods into actually protecting me with, though.  Really, I almost had heels.

"Don't wear heels to a fight.  That's just asking for trouble.

"Do you have a name you'd prefer I use?  And contact information; I really must get to know you all.  And get in touch with whoever does these routes to add my morning run to the rota."

"Eh. All the good names are taken. I still go by Tony. And sure, we can trade numbers. Luna, right? The armor looks good on you, but I bet it slows you down, eh?"

"For the moment, yes, Luna.  If you're talking about 'in combat', I do not think it slows me much, if at all.  If you mean land speed...well, perhaps.  Thankfully, I have a solution to that."

"It's more of an on call sort of thing in the city? And yeah, everyone has to figure out tricks for that. The skates are mine."

"I see.  Well, speaking of movement, I do have classes to get to."  She hands over her number, and sets off.  And while she could travel easily in this, as it is not weightier than the stuff she was carrying...

...Clara wants to feel the wind on her face, so she'll be wearing her raiment for this part.

And just absolutely bubbling with joy as the wind buoys her steps!

...And after school lets out, she is...much less bubbly, honestly.

The teachers were actually decent, but the students were honestly horrible, even some of the ones who were nominally friendly - she's not that free with her affections, and it skeeves her that somehow, openly being a girl means that the boys think she's that desperate.  And that she's into them to begin with.

Still, it's bearable, so she will bear it.

The number the Spirit Association gave her as the 'insider' office line calls her cell phone, an hour after school is out.
