"Just surviving graduation is--less of a commendation for an enclaver, but not none of one. Just based on survival, Lucy is more impressive than I am. But Marcy really did have her shit together."

"Probably she and her squad will be occupied with trying to make sure their downed teammate makes it through - I guess witch healing might have us beat? -"

"I don't know how good wizard healing is at acute healing of not-yet-lethal injuries but witch healing might be better, and if they fail to prevent her from dying then witch healing definitely is."

"Annie's in stasis, she got stabbed in the heart on the way out and her parents got her in a sort of magical coma before she was braindead."

"I'm not the best at healing but that seems like it might take some pretty expensive magic to fix."

"Yeah. She's not going anywhere, except insofar as her parents are probably having to guard her twenty-four hours a day."

Wince. "Sounds hard on her parents."

"Yup. I didn't get a prolonged text back from Boston but I think they might move her into the enclave, she got a slot."

"Hopefully if she does die it's not until they find out that they ought to hang onto her body."

"...I'll let them know, I think usually you don't want to encourage scavenging mals but in this case the tradeoff differs." Taptap.

"Would desiccating the body make it less tempting to scavengers? Because an Arch-Curative would still work fine on a corpse with--various methods of making it less appetizing applied. Noxious chemicals, etcetera."

"I didn't get that far on things to poison mals with."

"Maybe Ennis could work up something to make her look like a playing dead also poisonous bug."

"I think we are maybe getting ahead of ourselves on account of how she isn't dead yet."

"Probably, yes. - Kanimir, Local Jaromira, is this actually a good place for us to be hanging out accumulating hangers-on and such?"

"Ssssssort of, in the sense that if we actually gallivant off with you guys to another location without explaining the whole thing to at least some of the people in charge then someone will freak out unproductively?"

"Well, you might wanna do that in case we wind up going somewhere, though I don't immediately have a better staging ground in mind."

"Yeah. I'm the persuasive one, I'll do that." She vanishes back into the enclave.

"So is anything actually happening now except being excited?"

"We're sort of trying to plot to make the honeytrap happen. --Come to think of it if we want to get a critical mass of enclaves appraised of our existence sooner rather than later, maybe an upfront expenditure of some expensive healing would be a good way to get Boston onboard?"

"- you know what, it would at least get the squad onside, though I don't know if it would have a lot of sway with the older enclavers, I don't know how Boston structures that."

"Even if it doesn't get them on our side, if it happened where they could see they might at least be witnesses that we exist? Does anyone happen to have a sufficiently restorative healing potion stashed."

"Not in this universe," Professor Agrippa

and Lisao's mom say in unison.

"Okay, so...we should probably figure out what exactly we want to do in this universe before jaunting back to the other one, and then do that, relatively shortly, not necessarily with all hands on deck but obviously we're not leaving any open apertures."

"I am not packed for gallivanting."
