"I want to gallivant but also I want to check in with Wilbur and Mum first."

Flick open go the portals to the English indie houses.

"I will see you after my decadent spa vacationing with my devastatingly handsome boys!" says Nia, departing with a wave.

"Enjoy your spa and your boys!"

She darts through the portal and into her house.

"Bella I am assuming you wish to continue gallivanting; do you think we should pick up Aadhya and Caio again or leave them to continue reunioning with their families while this part happens."

"What's the range on Sending, or should I just call them to find out? I'm not sure what they'll wanna do."

"Well, it doesn't seem to go between here and our hypersphere..."

"I'll just text them in case they are in the middle of sufficiently tearful reunions they want to ignore me." She does this.

"Awesome. Kanimir, I assume you will want to gallivant once Jaromira gets back from dealing with your adults. --Is there anyone who wants to stay behind."

"You assume correctly."

"If there are any senior enclavers who might want to interact with a Real Actual Witch while most of the group is off in another universe I'm willing to volunteer."

"In like, a diplomatic capacity, or just to get the 101 out of the way?"

"I was mostly thinking 101 with bonus, like, being evidence for people who have not yet seen things wizards can't do, but I could try to do diplomacy on behalf of Operation: Honeypot? I don't think there's anything else I'm authorized to diplomacize about."

"Well, if the Atlantans want you, that's where we are right now, but I bet Aunt Evelyn would appreciate a more in-depth meeting if they don't."

Lucy comes back out of her house, dragging her twin by one arm and her mother by the other. When all three of them get outside, she gestures at the portal. "See?"

A middle-aged man follows them sedately out of the house, glances at the portal, and nods firmly. "I told you she wasn't messing around, Lavinia."

"You don't know enough about magic to understand how impossible this is," she says dryly. She follows her daughter briskly through the portal, trailed by son and non-magical husband. "Hello, thank you for not being weird brain-eating mals that have filled my daughter's head with crazy ideas and brain damage."

"You're welcome, but if you see anything with too many eyes and it's not something you immediately recognize as harmless, run away, it's probably a brain-eating monster."

"My parents wish to gallivant."

"Portals don't have passenger limits."

"Your dad's a mundie like mine, isn't he, that'll really cramp our style if not the witches'."

"I can close my eyes on command," he points out, amused.

"I suppose! But if we get surprised by something... I went to the nurse's office once early junior year and got jumped and lost a decent spell for the next several months to it."

He considers this, then nods, pulls a blindfold out of his pocket, and ties it on pre-emptively.

"Thank you."
