So the next morning they leave a note for their alts and jump back to the winged people planet.

It continues to have humans and winged humans and be round.

And not look nearly as stunning and high-tech as the new Arda, but no gods is such a selling point! "Should we go talk to people?"

"Suppose so. Is there like a very small group of them somewhere so I can knock them out if suddenly violence?"

He scans.

There, in the distance, are four or five humans travelling. None are winged. "That way."

"How much of a hike are we talking about here?" She starts that way.

"We might want to fly."

"But not so far that we won't have the mana to go back if we fly?"

He bounces her the location. "We'd be fine."

So into the air they rise.

And people-wards!

The people are on horses and have wagons full of vegetables and crates of eggs. They are surprised to see attractive winglessly flying strangers in bizarre outfits, reasonably enough.

One of them says something.

Bella replies, We don't speak your language. Is it okay if we talk like this? If you think back at me I can hear that without hearing anything else you're thinking.

...Okay, replies one, and she bounces it to the Elves.

He quietly echoes the thing they said to himself.

But my friend here is very good at languages and would probably like it if you also spoke aloud while thinking at me, she goes on.

"...okay," repeats the same person. "Erm, what do you want -? We just have carrots and potatoes and eggs."

...we are not thieves, we're travelers and we don't know where we'd like to go next so we thought we'd ask the first people we saw.

"Oh. Um. We're going to Velora..."

He copies quietly, beaming and bouncing in midair.

"A big market... sometimes angels come down from the Eyrie."

Angels are the people with wings?

"Yeah."

"Sometimes angels come down to Velora from the Eyrie? Sometimes angels come down to the market? What do angels want?'

"...pretty much what most folks want... except they don't do their own shopping for the basic stuff."

He's working on the language, just correct his grammar if he gets one wrong.

"...oh."

"What do most folks want? They don't do their own shopping?"

The locals blink at him.

Do you think it's safe for very strange strangers to go to Velora?

"Probably... I mean, don't make the angels mad."

"What make the angels mad?"

"Makes. Breaking.. the law...?"
