"Okay it was terrible but I coped, I went to school and learned things and had a job and stuff."

"I did not really cope."

Squeeze.

"But I did learn magic. And I got you and now everything's okay."

"Mm-hm. Did you know that they have movies here without magic?"

"Huh. Are they any good?"

"They're a little Elfy for me but very pretty."

"Once we have a backup world maybe we can watch some."

"Sure. You want to look over what I've got so far?"

What a pretty planet. Not too densely populated.

And nothing appears to be shooting at anybody as far as he can see (and he can see a long way). It's curved like the new Arda. 

He jumps back and reports this.

"No obvious signs of divinity either?"

"No, though I'm not sure how you'd identify it at first glance, we might have to talk to some people."

"And it had some? I'm not actually sure these parameters guarantee an inhabited planet, just one that's been visited."

"Yep! Humans and winged humans, looked like."

"Huh, winged humans. Magic or science or just random winged humans or not sure?"

"Detecting magic on them didn't turn anything up but it's possible it wouldn't for all kinds of magic and they were really far off."
