He's been at the last fort on the Mendevian side of the border for a day and a half when one of the local soldiers finds him. "Ser, um, Aemine?" He salutes a bit tentatively. "That, uh, Chelish patrol with the cleric is on its way in, did you want to-" His expression makes it clear he's not sure why he'd want to do anything with the Chelish troops if he wasn't ordered to.
Then Cambra can have a pleased smile, and they can all go to sleep.
Marcus at least finds it easy.
Then he will probably be unaware of how easy or difficult anyone else finds it.
Demons don't attack in the night, regardless.
Depending on when he normally gets up and how sound of a sleeper he is, he might be woken by the soft rustling of their human alarm clock reluctantly emerging from her blanket cocoon.
Either she doesn't notice him waking or she doesn't talk to anyone before she's had her morning communion with the infinite, but he can see enough of the corner of her bunk past the curtain to tell she's shifting to sit crosslegged, blanket still wrapped over her knees and around her waist, hands loosely cupped in her lap.
That seems well, and there's no reason for him not to get more sleep while it happens.
The guys wake and head down to breakfast sometime nearer the end of the hour, without any unnecessary chatter or thumping but not bothering to move as silently as possible.
He will... Hmm. Stay here and wait for Khalida, he thinks. The other two could use a chance at a conversation without a paladin in it.
She emerges a little while later looking more serene than chipper, and blinks at him with a quiet smile. "Oh, good morning. I had thought you were gone down to breakfast with the others."
"Good morning. I thought maybe I should let them talk to each other without being a paladin at them the entire time, especially after doing a probably unreasonable amount of that last night." A wry smile.
"A bit, perhaps." She retreats back behind her curtain for a few moments, adding from behind it, "Though I don't know that they may breakfast without being heard by paladins, here, if they wish to be sure they may need also the storeroom."
Khalida reemerges with her scarf tidier and her coat buttoned. "But once I say so, I should be out of the room and they may have it. Unless you don't wish breakfast?"
And Marcus has his boots and swordbelt on.
"No, let's by all means go have breakfast, I don't mean to avoid them all day."
Then she'll get her own boots on, stifling a yawn, and they can head down to breakfast together.
Where the guys are hopefully not in any sort of trouble? He really doesn't expect it, or he would've gone down with them in the first place, but it is going to be his fault if he misjudged that.
Not unless having a table to themselves while the mess is fairly crowded counts! They're just finishing up their porridge, so if they were stinted it wasn't by enough to make a difference.
Well, that could be better, but it could definitely be worse. He'll grab a bowl and sit down with them.
"Morning. ...Oh, and you were right," a nod to Ferrer, "I should just undo that oath. So, here, that's formally over," he makes the oath-cutting gesture to go with the words. He realized when he sat down that it didn't have an exception for conversations other people could hear, either, and yeah that really was just going to be too complicated to live with.
"Should listen t'you more in general, really." Bit of a smile.
"Well, not like I know which one Reus was, but I think you were both good picks. Would've probably done fine without me, truth be told."
"Can't get a dirty joke in his head without sharing it with the class, even when he knows he's gonna get hurt for it."
