"Yeah. She's cool."

"And becoming a fairy would not make me in any way part of Mother Nature, and she is not going to consume anyone in particular?"

This is such a weird question. Why does this world make her ask these questions. Oh, right, because the television has a static channel with a literal ghost girl in it.

"What? No. That sounds weird. Why would she do that?"

"I don't know, I read about some creepy mother figure online and I wanted to be extra careful."

"Sorry," she apologizes. Because. Yep. Such a weird, weird question.

"Do you like gardening?"

Because, look, if anyone is going to gleefully chat about gardening with her, it's almost certainly a fairy.

"Yeah! I love plants!"

"Me too!!"

He has fallen into her cunning trap. There is no escape. He has voiced a like of this hobby, and this means that it is time for Gardening Talk! Which includes, but is not limited to: does he know what grafted plants make other plants? Does he know all of the seasons plants grow in? Are there any specific regions that one can find special seeds in? Does he know how to grow a death flower? Are there any cool rare plants he knows about?

Boy howdy does he have answers to her questions! Maybe not, like, all of them, but lots! He knows lots of seasons plants grow in, there's some cool rare plants he knows about like life fruit, he does not know how to grow a death flower but he does know a lot of other grafting possibilities.

Eeeeeeeeheeeheeheeheehee~

She takes notes on her phone. Her gardening spreadsheet is going to be so much more filled in now!!!!! She's so happy!!!

What's a life fruit, that sounds neat and like it might have life extension properties!

It makes you a little bit younger. By like a day or so.

That sounds like it is very very useful to her purposes!!!!!! She gets the full graft chain for that one written down, along with what she's got for seasons of various associated plants. It, for some reason, includes a trash fruit? Which is a thing? That exists??? This world is so weird, but it's honestly kind of charming as long as it's not doing terrifying things like forced television hypnosis and alarming hints of a mind control cult.

"I should go now. Bye."

Without waiting for a response his wings flutter up and drag him sadly away.

"Oh, okay. Nice meeting you, bye!" she calls after him. It's kind of abrupt, but that is pretty normal for sims, so.

... the little flight of sadness is cute, and it's going in the pluses column for becoming a fairy. Not that she wants to float around sadly, exactly, just. 'Can decline to walk' in a fit of pique is extremely adorable.

Anyway, she should totally go plant hunting, she's got stuff to find! She has a list! Specifically she needs to find cherries, apples, blackberries, mandrake roots, and of course the important fairy seedling that will apparently just let her stop aging. How many of these can she find before nightfall and also hunger begins to set in?

She finds a lightning root, a moody shrub, a daisy bush, a tiny fairy that swirls around her in a puff of magic and does something to her, a mushroom, a begonia, and a snapdragon.

...

The strange something is a little alarming, but probably it's... fine? She doesn't know what she'd do about it anyway.

Everything else she found, except the daisy bush and mushrooms, is pretty interesting. But yeah she... has now been at this for hours and is tired, and starting to get a bit hungry. She will be back for you, fairy seedling, but first she's going to get dinner. Possibly dinner in - what was the neighborhood with the vampires - Forgotten Hollow, yes, that's it. Does Forgotten Hollow have a restaurant or something that she could eat at, and maybe chat up vampires? She thinks she'd like to be a fairy more than a vampire, just for the flight and ability to be outside in daylight, but she'd like to be thorough in her research. Also finding a fairy seedling might take forever.

There's a bar in Forgotten Hollow, if that counts? It's called Bloodrain Bar.

Probably she can get food there? She'll give it a shot, anyway.

... She does swap to her goth outfit for Forgotten Hollow, though, because. It's the aesthetic, okay, she's happy to match what the rest of the neighborhood's got going on, even if she is probably bound for pretty wings and fairy dust in her future.

Forgotten Hollow is very much doing the vampire aesthetic, with pine trees and foreboding mansions next to graveyards, badly lit dirt paths, an abandoned house with a broken and creaking metal gate.

That said, the bar itself actually stands out a bit because, even though it is also doing a vampire aesthetic, it's doing the aesthetic, actively, trying a little bit too hard. It's three stories tall, and by the front gate there's something that from a distance looks like it could be an old dead tree and a creepy little pond but on closer inspection are actually a tree manicured to look dead and a pool carefully cloaked in bushes to disguise the artificialness.

While she respects the devotion to the aesthetic, it's not quite her style, much as she appreciates it for having a personality. If she was going to go for a dark aesthetic for her home, Ravenwood was a bit more her style, but she does nonetheless respect what Forgotten Hollow is aiming for. Probably she's gonna be a fairy though She should not jump to conclusions about what she'll turn herself into before she's checked all of her available options. Admittedly, if she does becomes a vampire, she'd want to live in a vampire appropriate neighborhood. But she totally wants to fly.

Anyway, can she acquire food at this bar? Please? Pretty please??

She can... acquire snacks? Like breadrolls, french fries, fish and chips, plasma salad...

She'll take it. Fish and chips even resembles a meal! She can eat healthy when she's back home, she even has a fridge full of home grown produce.

While she eats: are there any people present that look particularly vampiric?

There's this sad-looking, pale young adult in aristocratic clothes sitting at the bar over there nursing a red drink?

Worth a shot, with the red drink. She and her food join the sad boy at the bar. (Why is everyone sad today???)

"Hello," she says, sitting next to him. "Are you a vampire?"
