"Oh no... we're here."
And she screams when a lightning bolt hits a tower less than three hundred metres from where they're standing.
"So... the only thing keeping Sin alive is Yu Yevon, summoning through you, but you said the goal was Zanarkand..."
"Sin is Zanarkand's protection."
"When you say dream..."
"Aeons are the dream of the fayth. So is Zanarkand. So is Sin."
"—is that why Sin always attacks places that start developing better tech—"
"Yes."
"...what happens to Zanarkand if Yu Yevon dies?"
"It, like, all dreams, will disappear."
"But – there are people there – why is it the goal, why does it need to be protected from the rest of Spira, can we just drug Yevon or something?"
"… Presumably he wants it to exist for reasons other than it having recently been in peril?"
"Is there not a way to have it communicate with the rest of the world, trade culture and – exchange other things?"
"And there's – no person around, enough, to try to convince them to change that?"
Sigh.
"Would you be against the idea of us trying to figure out how to get rid of him?"
"We would be most thankful if you did that."
"—yeah but Zanarkand disappears too."
"– Could we, I don't know, get rid of him in some less trivial way and keep his spell active?"
"It's not a regular spell, it's a summoning, and when the summoner dies there's nothing channelling it anymore..."
"And you can't, say, hotswap the summoner, transfer the ownership to someone else?"
"That might be a way to go about it – I'm not sure how difficult that'd be, do you have any sort of guess?"
"It would be unprecedented—I have no idea how we'd even go about doing it—Lulu might know more."
"Other ideas for how to do it – we can't knock him unconscious conventionally, but maybe something magical would work better –?"
