She can't scream, now, can't wiggle, can't twitch - it's unrelenting pain, concentrated in such a sensitive place, her Lady's hands barely a balm - her vision goes blurry, tears pouring over her eyes, spilling down her face with her eyelids unable to blink. Her skin flushes, which just makes it more sensitive, and she starts sweating.

(Even if her Lady's checking her mind throughout, though - she doesn't need a break, she doesn't think, when she has coherent thoughts at all.)

Such exquisite agony.

After an eternity and a half, she sits back and pronounces her work finished. Bellatrix is allowed to move again. (And she will of course catch her if she starts to fall.)

She, of course, slumps over, brain only slowly rebooting.

"There, there," she coos, softly petting Bella. "What a brave girl you are."

She smiles a little, curling into her Lady.

"I think we ought to do a little healing to speed the recovery process. What do you say?"

Mmmm.

"If you want, my Lady," she murmurs.

"I do want." She swishes her wand at Bella's lips and a gentle numbness and spreading warmth replaces the stinging pain.

She sighs. "Thank you."

"You are welcome, Bella dear."

"Do you want to see how it works now?"

"Yes ma'am."

She taps Bella's lips with her wand, then leans in to kiss her. As she gets close-

Bella's mouth disappears.

Mmmm!

Mmmm! indeed. She pulls away, and Bella's mouth comes back. She taps it again with her wand.

She laughs and tries to kiss her Lady.

This proves perfectly achievable.

Oh, good.

Very good.

"I cannot wait to see the look on her face the next time she tries to accost you. Do make sure to keep your eyes open, dear Bella."

Giggle. "I will."

"Excellent girl."

Kiss!

And back to the war.

(It doesn't take long at all for Bellatrix to get an eyeful of how Fay pouts when denied a proper stolen kiss.)

(And, of course, her cousin Sirius's birthday is coming up in November - she's thinking of applying for special permission to take him into Hogsmeade for his birthday. He's a third year with permission to go out on Hogsmeade weekends, but his birthday doesn't fall on one... But she thinks she can present a sympathetic, responsible-seeming face. Get caught up with her cousin, of course, but also get her physically into Hogwarts - or at least on its grounds - if there's anything of use her Lady could get from that.)

If Bella could get some of her snakes through the wards, that would be helpful. They will then be able to scout and perform other small tasks. (One of the snakes will be carrying a fancy ring with a poison injector, with instructions to present it to Fay Reynolds in secret. (The ring is not enchanted, and the poison reservoir is dry. She just thought it was pretty and would suit Fay.))

It'll be winter in Scotland and Bella's known to get cold easily, so no one should look twice if she's wearing several bulky layers. She thinks she can definitely get the snakes inside the outer wards, though there are few enough places in Hogwarts itself to let a snake out that it might be better to drop them in the gardens outside and let them make their own way in.

(Also, it is a very lovely ring. Should complement Fay's complexion very well.)

That should work out well enough. She will prepare the brave infiltrators.

And Bellatrix goes to work on presenting herself as definitely just a dutiful cousin, applying for a chance to take her cousin out for his birthday... He's had such a rough time of it, especially for a third year, with all that mess the summer before last...

She gets approved, sets a date with Sirius, and picks out some robes with many warm pockets for snakes.
