Tough choices for any poor quivering pet.

Tough choices make tender meat.

And pets who can't handle it likely won't last very long anyways...

Sounds like a game they should try sometime.

Mm, certainly.

If they happen across a suitable victim.

Bellatrix will keep her eyes out.

Good girl.

Heeee.

The war turns into a series of blows and counter-blows after that. Fay seems to mostly be doing her actual revolutionary work from the shadows - subverting not only Wizengamot members but journalists, office workers, and Aurors in stuttering gasps.

Dumbledore keeps obtaining successes against them - most of the violent retaliation against the Final Dawn can likely be traced back to him, and whatever group he leads gets cannier and more cautious about not leaving a trail. There's a few frequent members - the woman from Greyback's death seems responsible for the most audacious strikes - but the network overall seems diffuse. Dumbledore's group takes one of her members alive - only for him to die in custody before he can get the Dementor's Kiss - and a pattern of none of her followers getting introduced to Dementors slowly emerges.

Fay also opposes a lot of their public statements - especially anything calling for the Dark Lady or Bastet. She kills any Final Dawn members who get in her way, but she doesn't seem to be making a point of capturing any.

Recruitment's slowing down for the Final Dawn - the shifting tide in the Wizengamot's making many of their potential recruits hesitant, complacent. They want to see how this will go. And more, Fay - a muggleborn orphan not even educated at Hogwarts - is quickly becoming the most prominent symbol of resistance to the Final Dawn. She does interviews in the papers, on the wireless, gives speeches in front of the Wizengamot, meets members in private - she starts getting called in to consult on cases and trials, advocates restorative justice.

She speaks to the school board, persuading them to allow non-human beings to Hogwarts next year - including ones who can't pass as human. The school board with her help sets up a series of placement tests and begins taking public comments on opening Hogwarts in the summer for adult education classes - open to everyone. It's shameful, they agree, that Europe has only one higher education institute, and incredibly few of Britain's graduates go there. They're getting left behind, and it's time to catch up to the world.

And, as the wheel of the year turns, as the anniversary of Bastet's swearing of loyalty approaches - which Bellatrix had wanted to have an exceptional public statement for -

The morning of, Bellatrix Sekhmet goes missing.

Not for long. She always knows where her Bella is. A quick ping and she has a location to Apparate to, which she does with all due haste.

Bellatrix is in a deserted warehouse, and appears to be in a bit of a predicament!

As in, she's been stripped and tied up, ropes wrapping around her in entirely unnecessary ways, suspending her in the air with her back arched, head down. She's gagged, and the hanging ropes have enough give that she can wiggle and swing about - and she's been surrounded with an open flame in one direction (which doesn't seem to be affecting the ropes) and a very ticklish set of feathers in the other. There's runes on strips of paper attached to her skin and the ropes, and her wand is sitting on a little table (with another runic tag around it) out of range of any thrashing.

She wiggles a bit more earnestly when her Lady appears, making muffled noises.

"Oh dear, what have you gotten yourself into?"

She circles around, inspecting the magical details of the trap.

Whine! More muffled noises and wiggling!

(The trap appears to have triggered when Bellatrix entered a certain radius - that part's spent and shouldn't go off a second time. Everything there just keeps Bellatrix from using her magic freely, with a special focus on preventing Animagus transformations - probably, that's supposed to be nearly impossible and the Dark Lady hasn't actually seen this configuration of runes before. The tag on her wand just keeps it from being summoned.)

(The tags are all removable and shouldn't hurt the person taking them off. The one on the wand is basically a strip of paper. The ones on Bellatrix will hurt her coming off unless special care is taken or a runic key is used. Whatever that runic key is isn't obvious on inspection.)

"Getting you out is going to take some time, dear Bella." She approaches and gently strokes a finger down the curve of her spine. "Though I must say, I'm not quite sure I want to. Fay's work, I presume?"

She shivers, and "Mm-mm!"

Probably that was an affirmative noise.

"We'll have to see about a punishment, then..." She gives Bella a light push and steps back to admire the view for a moment.

Then she triggers a dose of Amortentia from Bella's tattoo.

She swings into the flame a bit - and the potion spreads through her. Her gaze goes misty and her muscles relax as she stares at her Lady even more adoringly that normal. A soft, longing whine builds in her throat.

She turns to reinforce the privacy charms around the area, then says over her shoulder, "I just need to retrieve some reference material, Bella dear. Stay here like a good girl, won't you?"

And she disappears with a crack.

She stays very still because she is very good, but she wants her Lady, and her Lady's not in front of her, and Bella's limited to the soft swing back and forth her Lady set in place, but she can whine, that's okay. (She's whimpering a lot, tearing up a little.)

Her head had already been a bit funny from all the blood rushing to it, but now she's desperate, straining, head fuzzy and thoughts obsessed, and her skin feels so very sensitive, the ropes chafe so much but they're not her Lady's touch -

She's back in about fifteen minutes, equipped with a heavy old tome, a camera, and distinctly fewer clothes than the last time Bella saw her.

Bella's progressed to sobbing, and she whines desperately, delightedly, when she sees her Lady again. (Her Lady's here, so everything's great.)

"Did you miss me, Bella?" she asks as she sets the book down on a conjured stool in front of Bella and sets the camera to floating around her and taking pictures.

Yes!!!!!!!

(This gets expressed as a whimper.)

"Good."

She steps closer to Bella and poses provocatively for a few photos. She is very careful that Bella is not actually allowed to touch her.

Bella's whining gets increasingly desperate. (She stays still and doesn't try to swing toward her Lady even though she really wants to, not unless she's given permission.)

She loves adores worships her Lady, though, and just seeing her Lady, having her attention on Bella's body, sets a warm, delighted glow through Bella's chest.
