"I must admit I somewhat anticipated this. Based on... patterns I have observed in the multiverse at large."

She nods. She hasn't been asking about her alts, but... She's not too surprised.

"The world references the previous person it stole when selecting a new one. Chooses someone to - I suppose foil them interestingly."

"That's also likely why it pulled over an adult, this time."

"I am less irked by this than I used to be, having gotten to know you."

Smile. "I'm more hopeful than I used to be, having gotten to know you," she says, voice somewhat teasing.

"We are quite well paired, then."

She's pretty much radiating fondness.

"I'd like your help," she says, softly, "With overthrowing this world's system. Leaving it behind, defying fate, however it could be framed... I don't want to be a Villain and a Hero."

"That is the ending I would prefer as well. The power behind this world does not deserve us."

She rests a hand over Elesse's.
