"Of course, I am showing off. Pause? Catch your breath. Let's say 'hi' to our cousins."

"Right," he agrees reluctantly, brushing his sweaty hair back from his forehead with a sigh. He turns, eyes lingering on Jamie for a moment before sweeping across the other three watchers.

"...Hi," he greets, looking between the two new arrivals. "Henry and Gabe, right?"

"Right, sorry if the Gabe's colorful commentary was distracting."

"I didn't really notice it," he admits. "What kind of commentary?"

"We were talking about how much I like watching you fight," Jamie informs him. "There might also have been some admiring of Aaron's face," he adds, "Though maybe that was just me." 

"It was absolutely not. Though, I was not constraining myself to the face."

"Gosh, really?" Aaron says in a false earnest tone.

"Really, Aaron. As a not-quite-in-law, I say that entirely in a platonic admiration of the human form kind of way."

"Oh, I wasn't constraining myself either, the face was just extra nice."

"Aren't you the straight one," Alex asks Aaron. 

"Hey, I can take a compliment, better than I can take you down even. Honestly, I am bit sad that Henry didn't say anything." He pouts at Henry.

"You - like this entire family - is ridiculously good looking."

Alex twitches a bit at the second part of that answer, conscientiously stepping away from that concentrated smugness and going to stand next to Jamie. 

Jamie leans on him. "It's pretty ridiculous," he agrees. "You're straight?" He directs at Aaron. He shakes his head, expression woeful, "Well that's just tragic." 

"I am sorry that god made me this way."

"We forgive you."

"It's a great injustice, but I'm sure we'll recover from it." 

"Are you two sure? I for one, don't think this crime can be easily forgiven." He is barely not cracking up.

Alex snorts, nodding in mock-agreement, "Does this 'God' character have a comment box? We should take up the issue with them. Maybe get them to make a few last-minute adjustments to their designs."

Jamie mimes writing in the air. "'Dear God. Everyone who is straight should instead be not-that.'" He pauses, tapping his lips with the imaginary pen, "'Also, while you're revising, could I get a pair of wings?'"

"Oh, and give Henry a long-lost twin. That would be hot."

"Why stop there? Singlets are really missing out. Just give everyone a long-lost twin. Including twins! Make us quadruplets! The world could definitely do with double this face." 

Snort. "Not to mention your extremely humble genes."

"Pff, humility, who needs it. It's a pretty, pretty face, and I know it. Can hardly miss it with a handy mirror image around all the time." He slings an arm around Alex, tugging him into a side-hug. Alex is forced to grab onto him in return so they don't fall over. 

"Sure, Narcissus. Anyway, what are today's plan?"
