A dark space, lit with eerie green light. In front, four hovering pictures. Soft, instrumental music.
And two women, unconscious, in front of them.
“We’re meeting everyone tonight, remember? Merril’s Taking us to the Hanged Man.”
Tabs barely holds in an excited squeal.
Anya laughs and pets her. "What do you think they're gonna be like. Look like? I can't even imagine it."
“I know what you mean, everyone looks- real. So real. Which, makes sense, because here they are but- I dunno, I keep expecting a glitch of some kind.”
She laughs. "Was Dragon Age 2 a game where it glitches and they're just floating teeth."
“No, that was The Game That Shall Not Be Mentioned,” Tabs says, snarling without heat.
More hair pets. "At least there is that. No creepy glitches. And we've already seen more locations that were present in the game... and they looked different!"
“Well, real Kirkwall wouldn’t have the invisible wall thing, where certain areas are blocked off so they don’t have to animate an entire city. I wonder how big it actually is.”
“Yes! Plus, any chests we find lying around are definitely fair game, we can find more junk to sell! At least until we figure out how to get jobs, of some variety.”
"I'll be kind of surprised if there are random chests lying around. Figured that would just be game mechanic. But it would be awesome. Free stuff!"
“Definitely. I don’t think Sebastian actually likes knowing how to pick locks, and Varric is busy following Hawke around.”
“I suppose that’s safe. Though please watch for freezer burn, or I guess, ice-spell burn,” Tabs teases.
Tabs laughs.
“I think you betrayed yourself, you’re very good at giving yourself food poisoning!”
"Twice in my whole life," she grumps, though good-naturedly. This is an old grouch. "I am usually a good cook though. So I'm sure I can ply my trade for favors."
“You are! I remember that chicken Mac and cheese you made once. We ate like queens that day.”
Tabs shrugs. “She might be happy just to teach us. Jerk with a heart of gold.”
"Yeah. She seems like good people." She leans over and grabs the magic book they scooped from the Black Emporium. "Study time? You can try and figure out what's to come and I can work on magic. In the future, I kinda wanna try and figure out the whole 'separating Anders and Justice' thing. Which means... much magic study."
