"You looked like you were trying to tell me 'don't leave me alone with him' with your brain. — to his credit he stopped doing the thing as soon as I objected but it would have been really nice if he'd asked in the first place."

"Being alone with a really hot guy who wants to fuck me is terrifying especially if he's also--" Lev gestures vaguely.

"That's fair." He puts his head on Asher's shoulder.

"Are you okay?"

"I don't like how easy it was for him to get in but if you add the handprint thing I'll be fine."

"I can do that now," Asher says, gesturing to put his suit on.

"Thank you," he says, and steps back. "I love you."

Outside, a man in a fur vest is watching Stark Tower through binoculars and taking notes.

Sasha leaves Stark Tower in plainclothes, takes the subway home.

A week later, Lev wakes up to the sound of someone in his room, says "Asher, is that you?", gets a cloth put over his face, smells ether, and everything goes dark.

It's hard to tell the difference, sometimes, between the spider-sense and regular anxiety.

But whichever one it is, he's awake in the middle of the night. He leaves a note on the counter and heads to Stark Tower.

Lev's not in his bedroom.

There's a note on the pillow that says:

Lev Aarons is at the intersection of Cherryhill and Inglewood.

...Sasha goes and wakes Asher.

Asher is not there.

Sasha tries calling Asher.

It goes to voicemail.

"There's been a tsunami in Indonesia," Jarvis says.

"Thank you, Jarvis." His voice sounds very small.

Sasha suits up.

Meanwhile--

The Morlocks had been keeping an eye on the new guy who used their sewer system. They didn't want to pick a fight unless they had to, and as long as they could share space they would, but anyone else who used the sewers could be a threat.

So they knew as soon as Kraven brought Lev through the sewers.

Lev was a nice guy. Chris had no hard feelings. He disapproved of people kidnapping him. And Stark Tower was easy to break into.

...Except this time the windows had a fucking handprint sensor on it.

He goes down to the front desk.

"Hello?" says the woman behind the desk.

He is suddenly acutely aware that he is seventeen and looks younger than he is and is wearing eyeliner and clothes that he got at a thrift store and hasn't showered in three days since his last hookup in an apartment.

"...I need to talk to Asher. It's important."

She looks him over. "Mr. Stark is unavailable."

"It's superhero stuff, I'm a mutant, you can tell I'm a mutant-- it's important and it's urgent, please--"

"He is," she says, "unavailable."

This is going to go nowhere.

They added the handprint but Stark Tower probably isn't that secure, he'll have to scope it out, Sasha at least will hear him out. He climbs--

Oh, look, there's Spidey.

"Hi! I know you don't know me, but you have to tell Asher his boyfriend's boyfriend got kidnapped."
