Moving. Yet again. Because this ducking stupid—
No. Get yourself under control. You know what happened that time—
Okay. New school. Mmhm. It's alright.
He arrives at the school...
That's why they all come here, right? To flirt with Stiles?
As class comes to a close, Stiles follows her out.
"So do you want to come over now? We probably won't start the movie until later, Scott has work, and Allison has whatever she has."
"Oh, there's no lacrosse today? Sure, I'd love to come over."
If there's the slightest emphasis in that second-to-last word, well, who'd notice?
Stiles, who has what might be called an oral fixation, is certainly paying attention.
"We were just leaving, on our way out, exiting the building."
"Hmm. Come on, Stiles, this sounds fun, we should both check it out. We'll have a lot of alone time later."
He leads the way.
The club is apparently held in the art room. There are paintbrushes that haven't been put away, and the kiln has just been turned off, but there's an adjoining dark room and people have brought their own laptops.
"We're always friendly, don't let him give you the wrong idea."
A few of the other students wave their way, but don't make conversation.
"Honestly, we're all pretty independent, we take pictures and come back here to compare, share tips, that kind of thing. It's more like a fan thing than a real organization. Right now, we were going to do a competition, see who can create the most impressive landscape with pictures of smaller-scale stuff. Using a railing on a staircase to mimic a mountain forest, that kind of thing."
"Ooh that sounds like fun. If... a little bit beyond my skills, I'm afraid."
"There are all kinds of angles; I'm not an arts guy, but I'm comfortable with video editing and computer stuff, so I do that."
"He says he's not an arts guy, but you should have seen what he did for the film festival."
"It wasn't anything special. Anyway, we should give these two something to do. You can borrow a laptop, check out some of the software. We can show you some of what we've been doing this semester, that way you'll know if it's your thing."
He retrieves her a laptop.
Here's a brief summary of digital cameras on the market, Photoshop, and some photography terminology.
