Moving. Yet again. Because this ducking stupid—
No. Get yourself under control. You know what happened that time—
Okay. New school. Mmhm. It's alright.
He arrives at the school...
"You're insane, and you're going to get us all killed," he says, popping up by the driver seat window.
Stiles makes faces at him and doesn't roll down the window.
"If you want to talk, you can join Scott in the backseat. It's practically a werewolf party in here."
So he does.
It is practically like a werewolf party in there.
Look at him. Partying it up.
"So, what, I'm gonna get us killed by saying your name out loud in a perfectly normal volume as part of a conversation anyone else wouldn't be paying attention to? And who is it that's gonna kill us?"
"Not by talking, by being here at all. You should have left town the minute you realized there were already wolves here."
"He's not wrong about the death thing. There are werewolf hunters here."
"So, like, about fifteen minutes ago? And of course there are hunters here, story of my fucking life, it couldn't just be a nice, quiet little town, with no one trying to kill me, could it? But on the other hand, maybe I could get some info from someone who does not, in fact, want to kill me this time."
"I don't want to kill any of you, I just want you out of my way so I can handle this."
"Oh good so you can be the person who does not want to kill me and can give me info! You see, I was referencing all the hunters who did want to kill me and did give me the scraps I have when I mentioned that, not you."
"Look, I know your life has been marred by tragedy or whatever, but can you be less Yoda and more Gandalf? Obi-Wan, at least. Do something useful instead of smacking us in the head."
"Sorry anyway, it's how I deal with severe stress. I'm still very curious about what the heck is going on here, and if you know I'd also like to."
"There's an alpha here that turned Scott. He's dangerous. There's a family of hunters. They're dangerous. There are oblivious humans and their ignorance means that they are also dangerous. Any questions?"
"So it wasn't you? Why did he turn Scott? Which one is the family of hunters?"
"The alpha wants to kill people. I don't know why he's targeting them, but he wants a beta to do the dirty work for him, and he wants the power having a beta gives. The local hunters are called the Argents. You've probably met Allison," he adds, with a glare at Scott.
"I found out just before practice. Derek knew, which is why he kept telling me to stay away from her."
He pinches the bridge of his nose and closes his eyes. "Hadn't she arrived just one week ago?" he asks without opening them. "How exactly are they local? Why are they here?"
"Ten years ago, Chris and Victoria moved away with their daughter, Allison. Now Chris and Victoria are back, with their daughter. They probably heard about the alpha too."
"No hunter would let a town with an alpha problem solve it alone. And me and Laura weren't going to stay away with a new pack in our territory."
