Do we have an estimate on when anyone else gets retrieved?

"Good question. Cam?"

"Am I meant to have been fetching anyone else? I wasn't given any other locations."

"Curufin's running a secret immortality research lab at MIT; that's the scalable version that's still a ways out. My father's in Canada -" he sends the location, it won't be easily findable otherwise - "the twins are with him, Caranthir's on Wall Street, Maglor's on a beach in the U.S. Virgin Islands."

"Should they possibly be warned that a small shuttle under heavy cloud cover may come fetch them?"

"They have been; I've been relaying them everything."

"Okay then." And Cam sends drones. He can pilot this many at once and make them clouds as long as he is not too distracted.

Well, he's not going to be distracting, sitting here on the ground in a black suit with his knees pulled up tightly against his chest.

He's also not feeling very distracting.

Then all of these people will receive drones and be ferried back.

At some point in the interim he'll eat. And offer his alt something.

"Whatever you're having. I would ordinarily say 'modulo concern for the state of my clothes' but if Cam and Edie are going to stay around -"

"We're all in here for the long haul. ...we should check if summoning works in your world, Edie want to draw me a circle -"

Edie gives him a piece of paper with a nice well-bound fairy circle on it minus a tiny bit of circle for him to fill in.

And he sets it on the floor of the ranger station and completes it.

No fairy.

"Edie, did your binding stick when you went adventuring -"

"I have no idea. My binding is fantastically loose and I'd have a hard time testing it if I wanted to."

"You can check whether you could melt my chip without actually doing it, right?"

"...No? How would I do that?"

"The way I understood it was that it'd disrupt formation of the intention?"

"...Maybe. I've never tried something like that before and I'm not going to test it on you and risk accidentally frying your chip. Tyelcormo, can I check to see if I can drug you unconscious? Oh, and we need to fetch Idaia's sister, it would be super embarrassing if we made the same mistake with her that we did with Emily."

"Yep, but we might wanna go out into the new dimension - have we got a name for it - since what we're interested in is whether the binding's present there -" He stands up. "Where's Idaia's sister?"

She checks. "...MIT. You can get her with the same drone as Curufin if there's room for two people."

"What, and they didn't know about each other?" Ranger station!
