Edie was perusing the latest correspondence from her fork. She still should have been paying enough attention to realize that the door didn't go where it ought before it swung shut and she couldn't sense anyone else anymore, but she wasn't.
After opening and closing the door a couple times to make sure she hadn't just been abducted somehow, she looks around.
He's reading over his shoulder. "Are you likely to do anything about it, though?"
"No, but I didn't get the impression he wanted us non-impatient because we might do something if impatient, per se..."
"Maybe we'll have a discussion about the weird features of Mirror when he comes downstairs, have the 'obviously acquiring sex slaves is appealing and reasonable, but now doesn't it seem like a convenient opening to stop using mind-control on them?' talk in a couple days when I have an opening."
"Should I maybe be out of the room when you remark on how appealing and reasonable that is, so I don't have to try to inhabit a character that lets this remark pass."
"I was planning to say it over osanwë, but that also works. Could you even inhabit a character who lets that remark pass."
"I'm drawing a blank on how, but I haven't given it very much thought... osanwë'll do it."
"Once he's clear then I'm planning to be honest with my alt, but until he's clear that's the obvious priority."
"That'll be an interesting conversation. Especially the part where we say we bugged him."
"Wasn't planning to mention that right away, in case we need a way to distinguish between 'he stops being evil' and 'he pieces together how to fake it'. But yeah, eventually."
"If he's mad at us that'd be reassuring; I'll only really be worried if he stays blandly obedient."
