Pascale motions towards the window, and the pigeon sitting on the ledge just outside.

"Hello, Ellayania. Do you two have a plan for what happens next? Now that there's no crisis, there must be something we can do."

"You and I were going to go talk to Dr. Deaton, weren't we?"

"He's always been a big help to us, after he stopped being so mysterious all the time. I think it's a good way to figure out a plan."

"Yes, so do I. But if I'm not mistaken, you still have several more classes to attend today before we get to that?"

"Yeah, I should probably get going. Sure you're okay?" 

"Your concern is flattering, but really, I'm fine."

"I have to trust you on that much. See you after school?"

"I'll be here."

Pascale's classes proceed.

Students learn, somewhat.

She is trying her best, but really, the more she has to interact with it, the more this whole setup seems... sub-optimal. Probably a project for later, though.

For now, she and Scott have other business, yes?

Indeed they do.

"Ready to go?"

"Yeah, let's."

They hop onto Scott's bike and drive to the animal clinic.

"Scott, I see you thought it was bring your friend to work day." 

"I can work, you two can talk." 

He watches Scott disappear into the back. 

"Nice to properly meet you." 

"You as well. I'm not disturbing your day, am I? Scott seemed to think you'd have time to talk."

"I have time. What did you want to discuss?" 

"We thought you might have some ideas on a way for me to get home."

"Local magic doesn't have an obvious solution. We have magic that can find a place, if worlds have relative locations. I can work on the other half, but I'm not sure how promising it is."

"That's sort of what I was afraid you'd say. The other thing I wanted to ask you about is the Nemeton."

"A Nemeton is a sacred grove, a place where druids worked for decades, maybe centuries. There used to be one in town, but most of the trees have been cut down. If there was a way to encourage growth in that area, we would have a source of power that could return you home- if anything we have can do it." 

"If Ellayania claimed the grove as part of her domain, she could cause trees to grow. But we're not sure how that would interact with the local magic."

"It's worth a try, the Nemeton isn't much help to us otherwise."
