The fox will not come if I call. 

The hell-hound is there, in the prison. 

I cannot call them once they are so close. I call only those who are far away.

That is why they come here.

"We should probably go get her."

"Right. Lydia, you said? Let's go." She pauses. "And on the way you can tell me about hellhounds and bone-wearers and werefoxes."

"Of course. I'll tell you what I know."

Has someone brought a vehicle or are they walking?

They can take his car, yes. 

Great. So, these creatures...

"I'm not sure how you heard of some of those creatures. I've never heard of a confirmed sighting of a hellhound. I can tell you the legends. Kitsune I strongly suspect exist, but I'd be surprised to find one here- that would presumably be the werefox you referred to. As for the 'bone-wearers', I have a guess, but that's all. I'll have to consult a book for the relevant entry, I'm afraid, but you might be looking for berserkers."

Details, man, details.

"What are the legends about hellhounds?"

"Wreathed in flames, they bring death to those who try to harm them, and carry the dying across to the next world. That's about all that I can say without delving into theology, little of which is likely to represent actual hellhounds, if they exist. Kitsune are like werewolves in being tied to an animal spirit, born as a fox spirit attached to a human infant. They exist, but rarely appear to humans or among them. Berserkers, the only legends I have are the ones everyone knows. Norse warriors who practiced shamanism, being possessed by animal spirits in battle." 

"Okay. What about banshees?"

"Banshees aren't supernatural- for all good that does them. Lydia is a human who can sense death, and screams in response to certain psychic energy. There's really not a good explanation for how it is that they sense the things they do."

"Does she know what she is?"

"I'm not certain she does, no. I wasn't aware until just now."

"Wonderful."

Are they there yet?

If 'there' is the outside of a suburban home, then yes.

Time to go a-knockin'.

A woman answers, looking somewhat confused.

"Uh, hello? Who are you?" 

"I'm a teacher at the high school. I'm looking for Lydia, is she here?"

Dr. Deaton elects to wait in the car. 

"I'm not sure that's a good idea..."

A girl rushes down the stairs.

"Did Scott send you?" 

Let's go with "Yes."

"Mom, I'm going out." 

There's a minor...discussion...and then the girl walks past her..

She glances at the car, and back at Pascale. 

"Ready?"

Back to the car.
