Such a good last question, but if he can bioengineer terrifying plagues maybe he's got a contagious cure for mortality or something...

Well, I suppose we don't technically care if he answers the free will question honestly.

"What other facts can you tell us that you sincerely expect we would most want to know?"

"The universe I have in mind to teleport to won't let your magic work and is full of things nastier than me. That's three, Maitimo darling."

"Your counterpart was better at intel. Loki gave us all free will, Thauron darling."

"Last words?" Loki inquires.

"In seven hundred thousand years," he says to Maitimo, "you'll have spent more time free than my slave."

And Loki kills him and props things up in Angband so they don't explode.

"Not one of those things that one really gets tired of, is it."

"It is not. Although I hope for everyone's sake they turn out to be rare beasts."

"Yep. I might hop planetside and actually meet my counterparts here, Findekano yelling at them for thirty seconds didn't count. Cam, where am I going?"

"Honestly I think I got more out of that than you did, you've had fairly cursory exposure to the extent to which he needed killing."

She laughs. "So is it just me or do all the Elves really, really need nicknames - we don't have such name collisions yet but if we did we'd have nicknames hour one -"

"I even have one to hand, it's Revelation - I'm thinking of naming my native world that."

"I like it. Ever since Aulë called my world the world of many stories I've been thinking 'Edda' - it's the collection of stories I told on Midgard as collected by Midgardian poets."
