"Yes, obviously. But if it spreads from Earth and Hex to other worlds, and then eventually something does kill him, or he forces our hand -"

"- Flat Aulë's going on a field trip anyway."

"Brilliant," Loki tells Cam. "Especially if my spell is not range-limited -" She sets down her stick and Tesseract, vanishes, reappears, takes them up again. "Yes, I can get to Cam's house from here -" She debiohazardizes herself again. "So we can hop Aulë to problem areas. And then we kill Sauron."

"Then we ask Thauron for an oath there's nothing else and that if we don't kill him that one doesn't activate, sounding very panicked, and ask what he wants, and once we have the oath there's nothing else, we kill him."

"...fine."

"Just being careful."

"Later on I would love to hear the story of how you killed the other one with your bare hands it sounds fascinating."

"Will do. I'll go ask Aulë if he wants a ride." Pause. "...I will register that for some reason I can't teleport to Flat Arda from here, and see if I can do it in two steps, and ask Aulë if he wants a ride."

And away she pops.

Aulë is happy to travel with Loki to worlds where he is needed to protect against the doings of the Enemy. Bioweapons are far outside my domain. It may take a while.

"How long a while? There's five affected worlds I can't cover on my own."

I would have to see it to say, but it could be months. It could also be nearly instantaneous.

"If it looks like it's taking months perhaps someone whose domain has more to do with biology would like to come have a look?"

I expect they would delight in the opportunity.

"Wonderful, thanks." And she hops them to her world and from there to Space Arda.

He goes very, very still. 

I would go to the place where those reembodied from Valinor are, and reassure them, unless the danger you speak of will continue to spread in the time that requires.

"It may, but not beyond the five worlds it's already necessary to clear. You sound surer than I am that they will find the idea of alternate universe Valar more comforting than confusing."

You spent rather little time among the people of Valinor, and most of it occupied. They will be reassured. They have suffered an unimaginable grief, and it is one that they know themselves vulnerable to again at any moment....

"Okay."

She fetches him to Afterlife.

And he materializes at full force. The static is overwhelming; there's a sound like a roaring river. People turn and stare, wonderingly - not suspiciously, he is being unmistakable - and then he speaks to the whole of Valinor. The means have been found to bring back all those lost to the destruction of Valinor. Many times has the Enemy lashed out in his wrath against the peaceful places we build; each time we build anew. We promised you a land of peace and safety, and we failed you. Forgive us. Grieve it with us. And let it be built anew. 

...if that's the sort of thing that reassures them, okay.

Everyone's crying. Hard to tell if that's what reassurance looks like. People kneel. People reach out to him with osanwë and he goes still, answering them all.

You're not promising them that it'll all be exactly like it was before, are you, there's still the matter of summoning and the fact where locally Mandos's function can and should be handled elsewise and so on.

We did not build Valinor to be a precise copy of what the Enemy had destroyed in Endorë before that. Valinor is irrevocably lost and I cannot set that right for them. I doubt they will care at all if summoning is allowed on Endorë, and from what I gather so far it would be a wrong to my people to disallow it, though we may try to establish the means to ourselves dismiss daeva without killing the summoner. 

That part sounds like a good ability to have on hand for emergencies. And Mandos? Here, the people he could catch at all can be equally and less intrusively restored to life by demons.
