The next day, as with every day, students must attend homeroom.
"Sorry, your highness. Basking it is."
He sketches out a bow, without leaving his seat. It's not a very satisfying example of a bow.
"So we'll see you there?"
"I don't have anything else to do."
"So charming. See, this is going so well."
Evidently, Isaac doesn't have much to say to that.
Having apparently exhausted other topics, Matt turns to a familiar topic: comic books. For all that he claimed to have shifted to photography, he's still interested in the subject.
Isaac apparently feels very strongly about who would win in a fight.
They managed to cover five different superhero matchups before they finish eating, graciously allowing Juliet to offer her own input as well.
Juliet knows very little about superheroes, but she will offer input on the more well-known ones.
"I feel so uneducated. You both will need to fix that if you want me to keep up."
"I look forward to it."
"We've already taken the first steps. We'll have you spouting off facts in no time."
Matt takes the check again, after a bit of silent communication with Isaac.
"Isaac, you should join us for lunch tomorrow, since we're all getting along so well."
She lets them do whatever they're doing with the check.
"I think I'll skip it. See you at the party," says Isaac, and he makes his escape.
"Thanks for this. I'm glad you were with me."
"I'm happy you're happy. I like him, I can see why you would too."
"It's been years. He still seems the same."
With their food paid for, Matt takes Juliet's hand and they leave.
"Where to next?"
She takes out her camera and takes his picture.
"Let's just wander and creep people out."
Matt and Juliet spend a few hours wandering around town, collecting interesting photos, and when it starts to get dark, he suggests they go home.
"I should probably head back to the Boarding House. I'll escort you home first?"
"I'd like that."
He allows her to have her turn at chivalry.
And so they take their bikes and head to his house.
"I would never have been able to manage last night without you."
"That's what I'm here for. All your full moon needs."
"You have many other uses. I look forward to finding them all."
He gives her a final kiss goodbye, and goes inside.
Juliet waits until he's inside and then heads home herself to an empty home.
